There is a pub near us - a station pub (next to a train station). It’s prone to bouts of closing and re-opening under new management. Anyway it’s about to re-open under new management but now has a Pinocchio sign - a hanging pub sign with Pinocchio imagery. I feel that no good can come of it.

Our Corporate Bollox department has just sent a company-wide missive exhorting us to save energy by 'streamlining kettles and fridges'. What does that even mean?
I'm doing my bit to save energy by only being half-awake today. This afternoon i might open the other eye.

It's a holiday weekend for the PM/child.
So I got a long lie today - but was woken from my slumbers by the child wishing to do something to Roblox and asking if it was ok as she needed my laptop.
I had been in the middle of a dream where I was on holiday in Turkey. A women I used to work with was telling me why they were moving out of the hotel we had both booked into. I guess I'll never know why her family were moving out the hotel.
Games. The Last of Us. Still with Bill, stopped just before the school.
TV. Trying.

It's just the shift of power into corporate hands. When the public sector fails, piece by piece it can be put into private control and monetised. We face either the end of liberal democracy and environmental catastrophe, or a radical political and societal shift to become more human-centered. |
