I’m eating a slice of rebranded Hovis Granary bread. Maybe rebranded isn’t the right word. It now comes in a half portion. As if it’s half of of a mighty artisinal loaf. It’s still that great Hovis Granary taste, only the slices are too long to fit in the toaster.

I’ve got a day off today. Only I put a meeting in with someone at the end of the day.
Because of this it doesn’t feel like a day off, and now I’m going through my morning routine like a mindless automaton.
I will definitely be going into work.

Last week I was unable to wash my clothes as the washing machine died. This week I'm unable to wash myself as my shower died. Plumber coming this morning to replace shower so would be a good time for the heating boiler to explode to save him another visit.

Morning. Bleugh.
Pup has a new game where he scratches and whines at the back door to go out every hour, and then just saunters off and sits in the rain. This is how i came to be standing on my lawn in wet slippers at 4am, wearing PMs dressing gown, which doesn't do up round my paunch, alternately wheedling and threatening the little bastard if he doesnt either piss or get off the pot. When i eventually got him in i might have accidentally stood on his tail a bit, as he gave a little yelp. PM then has a go at me assuming i'm walloping the beast.
All this excitement woke up the old dog, who wandered into the bedroom, took in the scene, and deliberately took a particularly smelly dump on the floor.
Wordle can wait.... mainlining all the coffee at the moment.
