Is that because I only got a three and you got a four? Nope, it's because you're a loser, fat pants.

Lunchblog: the aforementioned crisps and a tin of Heinz Beef Broth. Some top pearly barley action on that one. Would recommend.

'crunchy cheese'?

If you let a piece of cheddar properly dry out it gets quite crunchy. Works best with thin slices. Though you can just leave an open block in the fridge for weeks.

Yeah, I noted that, but it's what it says on the packet, so I'm not stepping to the lads at Seabrooks.

They're not quite cheese Savoury Straws that we bought from the ice cream van outside our school - but still pretty good. They were the best cheese maize snack of all time. The additives are probably all banned now.

3 hash browns, 2 fried eggs, 2 rashers bacon, 3 battered onion rings, baked beans.
I fear the PM is expecting me to be on dog-patrol later..... either that or she's doing me in, one artery at a time.

You'll gather Nursey has not long gone. My right foot wreckage, following the podiatrist's visit, had got worse. Putting my foot to the floor, even with painkillers, is agony. So I got Nursey (Malcolm, a really nice guy; best of the nurses - nags me, takes the piss out of me, but extremely competent) to take pictures of the heel, and ball of my foot so I can see whether I'm just being a wuss*. I'm not - it's fucked. So, if I am mean to you that's one of the reasons why. Please feel free to tell me to get stuffed.
*Okay, even more of a wuss.
Endof grim bit

I feel my spirits becoming depressed.
It’s a crazy budget. Nutters. I’m also in work on a day of annual leave. I just went into a Caffe Nero and it was chaos - a massive queue with loads of piled up stuff, everywhere…
We’re going to Hell in a handcart. It’s Broken Britain.
There’s hardly anyone in my office because people are working from home three days a week, but students have started to come in and they’re asking to see someone. Who has to see them? Muggins (actually I’ve only had to see one person and it was a broadly positive experience).
Maybe I’m the problem?

Pet shitting on the floor chat: I accidentally for some reason softened my cast iron anti-pet in the house stance last night. I was drunk and my daughter and mamifere prefere somehow convinced me we lived in a democracy and I could be outvoted on the matter if they wanted to get a cat. Obviously I said if they choose to have a cat I am not doing any cleaning up of shits after it, but Im not sure if thats realistic and regret being cunningly out manoevered when I was innocently drunk.

Some powerful plays by pets. Animals are territorial and instinctively understand power structures and pecking orders. You can't let them get away with that sort of challenge without response, or you'll all find yourselves being ruled by your animals. There's only one way, the Chatterbox way. You know what to do next time an animal shits on your floor. Out-shit it.
If it doesn't work, and you strain yourself in the process, then there is always the Sanctuary to help you recover.

Afternoon all.
Preferred Mammal is off to Madrid for a few days, anybody ever been? Know anywhere good to go?
Me? Oh I get to stay behind and tile the en-suite.
Time to make sure the PlayStation is up to date.

I've been diagnosed with man flu by PM. She seems unimpressed with a temp of 38.4 which refuses to go down despite taking all the tablets. She seems convinced that if it was her, she'd just neck a lemsip and carry on, rather than 'moping' round the house like a 'slapped plum'. She's getting on my tits tbh, but she's taking the kids to her sisters later so don't have to take any shit much longer
All I've achieved today is watching 'into the spiderverse' with my eldest daughter, after she saw the trailer for it at the end of venom and thought it looked good. It was better than that, best feature length American animation I can recall seeing in some years. Thrilling, clever, funny, occasionally slightly moving. Better by far than any of the live action Spiderman films of the past 20 years. Four Stars.
