If it is afternoon tea it should be an exquisitely brewed well crafted and balanced 7% bottle of paint stripper washed down with a nice cake. Not a cheap tinny. You animal. Hopefully there are small bottles of wine for second afternoon tea. I love airports; it's socially acceptable to drink at any time of the day. One day I might try flying somewhere as well.

hello
If you pour foamy beer slowly on the inside edge of the glass then it doesn’t foam up so much.

I've got some fancy beer glasses to counteract that. Big bulbous ones so you can't pour the beer down the side. Makes sure your fancy beer has a decent head on it. Here and Here and Here
Also a Chimay goblet.

It's not that series 2 was perfect, but it was still better than any of the recent fantasy stuff on telly.

Cities in Flight
I know that there isn't much chance that any of you will want to play in this; the likely takers like @shenguinare too busy even for a single move a day, sandybahookie might give it a go, but outside of that, limni and doctoralimantado are moribund... Anyway, if you do want to try a game let me know and I will set up a 'box game. Here's a fast developing turn based NP2, 11 player, Dark Galaxy NP2 game, with a lot of the characteristics of the games that I normally put up. You start with 2 stars (of which one is a 30 30 4 home star) each of which has 100 ships. np.ironhelmet.com/game/574625524403404824 hours a move with 6 tick jumps; Production is every 16 ticks, so Production is speedy - Banking is set to 16 so cash is plentiful. You can sleep normally for once! Especially as this is more leisurely than the last game. The name of the game is taken from James Blish's excellent Cities in Flight four-volume series of science fiction novels and short stories originally published between 1950 and 1962 Sorry Chumbs, I can barely manage one move a day irl atm, let alone trying to do a move online as well.

The Cities In Flight books are ace. Proper sci-fi.
I am not playing some terrible, badly adapted game barely based on them though.

The Cities In Flight books are ace. Proper sci-fi. I am not playing some terrible, badly adapted game barely based on them though. Tell him, Shenguin . The game lets you "log in at any time of the day to check the progress of your ships, view the results of battles, and issue new orders. Each Star you control will automatically build new ships, raise money for upgrades, and research new technologies. Your job is to negotiate with the other players, dispatch ships to capture new stars, and choose where and how to upgrade your existing stars and technology.
Neptune's Pride is not like any other 4x strategy game because it's streamlined mechanics allow players to focus on high level strategic decisions and diplomacy."
The game has nothing to do with the books - "The name of the game is taken from James Blish's excellent Cities in Flight"

I have never heard of the author. A quick search of Music Magpie's used book range came up with one book, "Spock must die!". Hmm.
He does seem to have written an awful lot of Star Trek books. Nevertheless I have ordered Cities in Flight. Let's hope it's worth a read.

Morning
Back from a nice week away at the seaside (boo).
However, I'm now drunk and also have tomorrow off work (yay).
Managed to limit myself to only having haddock and chips twice. Boodiful stuff.
Visited the following places:
Filey Scarbados 1982 (Bridlington) Whitby Flamboro
Did lots of coastal/beach walks. It was shorts and t-shirt weather on Wednesday. Classic Yorkshire.
Spent a million quid on the amusements (two penny falls) to win a few cheap toys.
Four stars.
OTTM, anyone karked it whilst I was away?
OOTTM, cunts.

I am not falling in to the trap of liking every post that calls me a cunt. What do you think an acceptable rate of likes to calling you a cunt would be? Maximum 4:5, or do you think you could be tempted up to 9:10? Edit: Sheeps, I think Tuffers means you. Edit2: Destry, Cities in Flight is good. You won't regret it (unless you do).

More winding up folk on Telegram who are out to rip you off. Monica was bugging me for my photo. All of a sudden she wanted to video chat. The "Legitimate" drug seller who added me as well was also a hoot. He couldn't get me askit powders.

So obvious that Crank just photoshopped a cheque onto a picture of himself.
Edit: in my head, Crank is a tall and lean alpha male, a muscular leader, with enough experience to be wise but young enough to be bold. I've just realised, that photo might actually be him, and now I might look like a dick. Oh well, the loss-profile if that risk crystallises is likely to be limited.
