Curry, pakora, rice, naan for dinner.
Asda didn't deliver my beer - but luckily I had brought some home from Lidl yesterday.
4 packs of Punk IPA seem to be a regular delivery problem. Teach me to buy Brewdog.
Hopefully some games in a bit.

We normally have American Long Grain Rice and Arborio in the house. The PM had bought Basmati which we had with the (supermarket bought) curries tonight.
We'd obviously have that in restaurants/takeaways - but definitely better instead of the long grain. Seems lighter.

The reason I know that is the recipe I did the other day called for LG and I was going to buy some but checked the Basmati and found out I didn't need to.

There's a noticeable difference between Basmati rice and what Sainsbury sell as long grain rice.
Mostly the price....
Basmati is a bit thinner and fluffs up more. And is significantly pricier.

We are also having supermarket Indian food tonight. From Morro's. Youngest is oot having a sleepover at a friend's.
I've got chicken vindaloo and rice. The PM and eldest are each having chicken madras and rice. With some onion bhajis and veg samosas at the side.
Tomorrow I'm planning on making chicken Tikka, to go with breads, salad and dips.
Indian food is the best.

Sadly, crankcaller , Basmati Rice requires (I think) steaming the carers to use naked flame to cook it, and they are forbidden from using that. This is a comprehensive and excellent guide |

Sleep was hard to come by the last couple of nights, alongside a persistent headache, which I can only imagine was secondary to coming off those tablets. I'm optimistic I'll do OK tonight, I'll stay up playing xbox til my eyes get tired and hit the hay, tonight's the first night my eyes don't just slide off the screen when trying to concentrate.
