hi
I ate coconut rice tonight, with a tofu massaman curry, and some papaya salad, and some deep fried tofu with peanut sauce on the side. Nice.
Basmati rice is nicer than American long grain. To be honest though, if I was told I’d never eat rice again I’d be ok with it.
I didn’t even eat all my coconut rice tonight. There was a lot of it. I was quite full.

So you'd never have Risotto ever again? No Nasi Goreng? No Biryani?
Oof.

So you'd never have Risotto ever again? No Nasi Goreng? No Biryani? Oof. I like risotto. But I suspect cooking mashed potato with onion, garlic, wine, butter and parmesan would also be delicious. I’ve started eating curries without rice and haven’t missed it. I mean it does go well with dal, but … of the starchy foods it is my least favourite.

Rice chat.
I'm with Brighton Bones.
Whenever I go to an Indian restaurant I never order rice. Starter, curry, Naan. More thriller, less filler.
Rich. Compelling. Rich and compelling.
