This character seemed friendly enough. They said they had no cards but I could go to another named shop, buy some card and fold it in half.
When I left the shop I heard them say ‘Didn’t know how to fold a card?’ …
I forgave them because I’ve got a big heart (Richard from ‘Dead Man’s Shoes’ photo).
No it’s clear I didn’t forgive them. It winds me up a bit. Rude. A folded piece of card will topically give you an A5 or A6 size gift card. Envelopes for which are few and far between.
