I did enjoy Episode 1 of Picard. There's going to be timey-wimey stuff, so Stewart can say bye-bye to a load of the Enterprise "D" actors and a few others besides... |

Accidentally purchased thick sliced loaf, so have done the decent thing and made doorstep slices of toasted cheese and tomato. Butter and salt for PM, black pepper and a drizzle of olive oil for me. Might have to go for 'seconds'.......

Over zealous with the moustache pruning and it's ended up like a Clark Gable / Bob Dylan. Hopefully I won't get used to it. Many moons ago my old barber complemented me on my moustache. Knowing him to be a very nationalistic far-right bloke, I told him I was planning to go 'Full Mugabe'.
This did not go down well.

My barber has a full on long curled moustache, waistcoat with pocket watch. Bowler hat and furled umbrella on the hat stand. It must be a great temptation to play with the moustache and mess it up, I'd want to play with it and mess it up if it was mine. |

Stanley Tucci was good in Murder One. I found him annoying in The Hunger Games.

Much better by far is a series that explores Italy through Eating History - The Story Of Italy On A Plate. The first episode: What the Romans Ate, scamander would love. It's based in 80 A.D., a period of especial interest to me, coming just after the Vespasian's rule (Falco by Lindsay Peters is one of my favourite series). |
