I did discover a couple of months ago that some files I'd downloaded from Bandcamp were too high quality for the system to handle, so I had to use some software to convert them to a lower rate of whatever it is. The 44/16 whatevers. I felt extremely proud of myself for working that one out.
Needless to say, the quality of the music itself was not too high.

It's always good to know that someone has troubles worse than your own. I'm going to have to use Wav. It's better than buying a new streamer. Have tried a factory reset but has made no difference.
Yeah I have the same NAS, which I use with a Sonos speaker. I'm afraid I can't help though as I have no idea how it all works, and if anything ever goes wrong I'll be screwed. It took me 2 hours the other day to work out how to change the password.
Advances in technology make what were simple things into far more complicated things. I seem to have entered a lot of passwords on the Nas. I should really start writing them down. |

The NAS & or streamer isn't trying to transcode the flac is it? or anything stupid like that.
I don't really know what I'm talking about, I'm just throwing out buzzwords from the Plex forum.
It's weird that wav which is more data plays fine but flac stutters. But obviously the flac needs decoded.
*Whispers* Home made white chocolate edibles are setting for the weekend. My ex-chef pal suggested the white chocolate as higher fat content and lower melting point in the Bain Marie. Thinking of adding this to the 'uses' section on the Wikipedia Bain-Marie page to see how long it sits there.

Having to use a bluetooth keyboard. The keyboard on my laptop is playing up. I've got a cheap usb keyboard as a temporary fix. I'm considering taking the laptop apart to clean it, but the risk is i will end up with a non-working laptop. At the very least I need to make a new back up of the accounts files first. + |

Afternoon all!
Been a while since I’ve given a daily update - no reason, just couldn’t be arsed. I’m sure you’ve missed them greatly.
TVblog: DS9, and things are kicking off with the Dominion. Gul Dukat remains one of the best villains ever.
Also Race Around the World - featuring six teams trying to get across Canada without flying for the same amount of money as flying.
Only one episode in, and we’ve already identified the most annoying person of the series.
Warhermitblog: first game of Warhammer Fantasy Battle in over 20 years on Wednesday just gone. Bloomin’ amazing fun - a 2vs2 battle, with (almost) fully-painted armies on each side. Dwarfs & Empire vs. Chaos & Skaven.
The allied forces of humans and dwarfs emerged victorious. I’ll post a link to the quick battle report once I get it done.

Try a good blast of compressed air first.
You can buy new membranes &or keyboards for laptops, but it usually involves some stupid wee cable that is plugged in behind the screen and you end up with a working keyboard but no screen.

In the meantime I have ordered a larger bluetooth keyboard with a built in trackpad from Jeff so I dont have to keep switching between the two. |

Obviously that was meant for Destry. But it still stands. As memory serves me, Destry uses a clear membrane on top of the keyboard - a US>UK convertor thing. I don't. |
