I was just walking back from a shop and a man stopped me with some gestures. I’m pretty sure he was pretending to be deaf because when he was talking he was moving his arms in a way that seemed to be a pastiche of sign language. It was the kind of gesturing I thought Donald Trump might do if he was doing an impression of a deaf journalist.
I could be wrong. The man was saying he wanted some money to get home. Am I the monster? It’s possible.
Also - if he was deaf why was he doing sign language to me when I didn’t say that I was deaf?
Maybe I am the monster. It just didn’t seem like sign language to me.
I feel I’m doing a lot of self-justification here. What if he was deaf? …

Well if he was deaf my gesture conveyed what needed to be conveyed. I put my hands up, then my left hand on my heart, and gave an apologetic smile / gurn. My conscience is clear. I had no cash.

I played Ass origins for a couple of hours last night. I'll play it during the strictly results show. I'm still trying to work out the cheapest way to play Forza Motorsport. Possibly a Gamepass "core" 3 months gamepass as it's a tenner. It's meant to be for Xbox but Forza is a play anywhere game so I can install on the laptop. |
