TVblog: wrapped up the first series of Strange New Worlds. Brilliant!
If there’s anything good that came out of Star Trek: Discovery, it’s Anson Mount’s Captain Pike.
I think my seven-day free-trial of Paramount+ ends today, but you know what? I think they’ll have me for another month. I’ve got to watch the second series now, and there’s still a few more Lower Decks episodes left of the latest series yet to air.
Whammerblog: less than a week til the Big Trip. Exciting times!
Gave my army list a trial run on Wednesday just gone, where it performed admirably. How it plays against other opponents/factions remains to be seen…

I played Monster Hunter last night. I didn’t even have dinner. I just ate chunks of Toblerone and … houmous … scooped out of the tub with … Quorn cocktail sausages.
I should really have thought about the game. If you head out on a quest without a meal you tire easily. And I did tire. I had to go to bed at one.
What else did I do? No that’s it - nothing.

I put on a CD this morning - Dummy by Portishead. An album I hadn’t heard for a long time. A long time.
It was good but then a song came on that I didn’t recognise. I did think the song was a bit poor.
First of all thought of the ‘Mandela Effect’ and speculated I’d gone into an alternate dimension because of the work of the Large Hadron Collider. Then I wondered if maybe I was experiencing the early tremors of a neurological condition. Then I thought maybe the song was so bad I’d repressed any awareness of it. I thought that was maybe the most plausible. Actually I looked up the album and it turned out / turns out that there is this extra song on US versions.
Hmmm. I think my copy must be elsewhere in the flat. I hope so. I think a lot of people I’ve lived with have maybe had a copy. Big 90s energy.
But who might have got an American version?
Hmmm. It’s food for thought.

My phone loves to autocorrect words into ‘Russ’. I don’t know why it just autocorrected another word into Sting. I liked Russ Abbott back in the 1980s but I’ve never liked Sting’s Solo content. I don’t think his name’s part of my everyday working vocabulary.

I own all those three albums and the earlier Tricky albums. And all the MASSIVE albums. I'm calling them that as there's a war in the middle east.
Got some chicken marinading for curry tonight. Making butter chicken and a chickpea/lentil/veg one off Instagram.
Feel a bit better after food/coffee. Heading to Sainsbury's to get naan bread and possibly some Irn-Bru.
