Another thing about Dragon’s Dogma 2: Sometimes NPC’s just materialise into view, out of nowhere. They just appear. I don’t know … 2024 on a Playstation 5 … You would have thought … things had moved on ….
We watched ‘At Eternity’s Gate’ yesterday - a film about Vincent Van Gogh, starring Willem Dafoe. It was good. Recommended. Filmed a bit like like a Van Gogh painting - hypersaturated with an occasional distorted lens.
Ok - I’m going to make this roast ….

hi There’s a man who’s walked past our back garden a few times today. He has long brown hair and a beard and is wearing a white top. I know he’s not Jesus. Just … looks a bit like him … There's a chap around here that looks like classic Jesus, a tall fellah usually rides a bicycle and has a long flowing coat. Once, I was coming back from the shops and saw some scallywags coming the other way. Luckily, Jesus was walking in front of me, so I literally 'Hid behind Jesus'.
Powerful stuff, I'm sure you will agree.

About to dish up roast chicken with maple glazed carrots, brussels, peas, stuffing, roasties and yorkies.
Served with a few glasses of Muscadet. 4*

Morning
Don't forget to put your clocks forward tonight!
I'm making a beef and mushroom casserole using shin of beef. Will be served with mash.
Easter loot blog - 2 (TWO) x Maltesers Bunny (orange flavour).

I love mint sauce.
We just had our roast dinner. Phenomenal.
Actually only the potatoes and carrots were roasted. And two field mushrooms. The other items were either baked, microwaved or ‘steam-fried.’
Yes it was very tasty.

Worked out pretty well, the carrots needed something to soften the sweetness, probably a bit more salt or a touch of cayenne.

What emotion are we supposed to feel about Faceless's Ham Sandwich? Pity? Relatable? Wondering whether they put mustard on it, English, French or even Horseradish. Too many questions.

Cayenne carrots?
I can’t imagine that. Cayenne paper is so hot.

Hello! I've been to a carvery today, for the first time in decades. Phenomenal. Exactly what Jesus would have wanted on His birthday or whatever it is.

Cayenne carrots? I can’t imagine that. Cayenne paper is so hot. Depends how much you put on, surely?

I’m imagining Faceless’s sandwich as a big gourmand sandwich. Thick cut white bread, lots of butter, thick cut artisanal ham. Possibly with mustard or piccalilli.

I also did some rifle shooting and go karting, just as St Paul prescribed in his Second Letter to the Corinthians.

I expect it came from a garage. Or at best Budgens. Probably discounted as going out of date. A complex mix of pity, horror and disgust is the only appropriate reaction.

I also roasted a chicken. But I let it cool and sliced & tore apart. We're having it tomorrow and it was dated today.
Up at the in-laws for dinner. Fish and Chips.

I have to say something. I’m not sure about Dragon’s Dogma 2. I’ve spent the last three days hanging about a capital city, not really accomplishing anything. Maybe I’m missing something but it doesn’t feel as interactive as an Elder Scrolls game, and the fighting isn’t up to much because the pawns all do it. Ah I don’t know. I realise I haven’t added any levelling up points into my character’s attributes either. I don’t think that’s part of it. I like doing that though. I will keep playing it, that’s for sure, but … I don’t know. I think maybe it’s not that great… I'm in the same Dogma funk. The bit of the main quest line I'm at is terrible and has seemingly gone on for hours. Moribund in the city. What happened to the cyclopses, minotaurs, throwing goblins off cliffs? Its lost its way. Supposedly it gets much better after this bit but it's a real slog for now. It opened exceedingly strong with the bit where you throw barrels of explosives at innocent sleeping fish men, and then salt the earth with poison, just because they are different. A microcosm of everything great about modern Britain.

A microcosm of everything great about modern Britain. All the main quests take about 60 minutes or so, then you get directed to somewhere else and so on. and if you want minotaurs, cyclopses etc, just walk around a bit. Yes it lacks a big sign saying "GO HERE TO CONTINUE THE GAME", but that is the charm? Also I'd like to see Lazy's pawns solo a drake and thus play the game for him.

I think I missed the throwing explosives at fish-men. I haven’t met a miniature either, though I have seen two cyclopses. I’m wondering if I should just head out into the wilds and explore. Would be nice to get a few main quests completed though.
I don’t know. Funk central
