I was quite excited by this prospect. After waiting a couple of months for some limescale to build up, I like that you bought the solution to a problem that you had to wait until it happened

Thoughts are with you all Crank. Hideous business.
Hello all. Went to Bentley Wildfowl this morning. Some good duck and goose viewin' plus the additions of some flamingoes, swans and peacocks. Guineafowl are very odd birds.
The boy and I went on a trampoline, and we also went on a miniature railway. A rich and varied day. Saying that, we didn't have time to go around the motor museum, which is a personal highlight of mine.

I know you're all on tender hooks. The citric acid worked a treat, and my bath, sink, and taps are now free from limescale and associated grime. All is sparkly. No apparent damage to the cheap tap fittings, and so far my teeth haven't dissolved. Would recommend. Four stars.

I just did some internet grocery shopping and tried to buy lettuce. Turns out that caterpillar Shenguin has eaten up all the lettuce. Got to slum it with some Caesar salad. It is rather annoying that the Switch has so many exclusive games that seem really good, all of which appeal to me, a turn based JRPG, an open world rpg, a 3D platformer and a tennis game that looks really fun. I'm very surprised I haven't bought one yet considering the only reason I bought a PS4 was for Persona 5 and the remaster of FFXII I was sorely tempted on Amazon Prime day where they had a good PS4 offer (also a good Switch offer, sure they will repeat this from time to time), but it's just too much money to spend when already I can't get through all of the games that I would like to play. There's always talk about how competition is healthy, and of course, the PS4 is more powerful while the Switch is portable, so it's not as if it's the exact same product, but I often wish that there was just one machine that would play all games, because either one's paying double by getting both consoles or one feels that one's missing out. Then again, I guess these exclusives wouldn't exist if there was just one company making consoles. Sigh. I've said it before, I will probably cave in when Death Stranding comes out, which is likely also when the PS5 will be on the horizon, if they could just make it backwards compatible, that would be nice.

Sorry, there is a machine that does that PCMR Or rather, one that has neither Nintendo nor Sony exclusives, and no guarantee that the damn game is actually going to work. I've tried that, no thanks. I've only just seen this: www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radio/2018/jul/21/buffy-the-vampire-slayer-to-be-remade-21-years-after-first-episodeThat doesn't look like a good thing to me, rather like "we've run out of original ideas" (or more precisely, "we've got no faith in original ideas"). Reminds me of the Ghostbusters remake situation. Thoughts?

You are, of course, right about the PCMR.
As to Buffy it's a horrible idea
More thoughts later about Buffy

"Two tonnes of cocaine seized from boat off Cornwall"
Scubar has been very quiet this weekend.
(Mrs C's nephew survived the latest op. So fingers X'd. The next few days will decide it all. Thanks all for your kind words)

I was too old for Buffy in every sense last time round. Reboot with an African American does seem very lazy.

I only ever watched a couple of episodes of Buffy. Not sure why. Definitely not because it was dreadful shite. No, there must have been some other reason.

Mr Tent Rooster and I have just seen the news about the Cornwall cocaine haul. We were amused by the detail that one of the two people on board a yacht full of cocaine has pleaded not guilty. Maybe that person could help out those Hollywood writers who've run out of ideas, he's obviously confident in his ability to spin a good yarn.
Relieved to hear that the kid's survived the crisis, fingers crossed indeed.

I also think it is amusing that a series about vampires cannot rest quietly in its grave.
The reboot will be awful. No doubt. And not aimed at me.
