Until about 15 minutes ago I was unsure of the correct pronunciation of Chuck Palahniuk's last name. Now I know.
Hell of a day so far.

Large pizzas on two-for-one + getting most calories from alcohol + no friends = leftover pizza Everything up to the first plus symbol. Two for Tuesday. 2 large pizzas. Just out my 2nd 2hr meeting of the week. Reaching under my desk for some Walkers MAX paprika. They're in a bag, I'm not quite at the eating crisps crumbs from the floor stage. Yet.

last night I went to Bolton again. Well Horwich really I thought Blues payed pretty well. The result was disappointing. Particularly as the winner was scored with a not very sneaky hand. We do need to score that is 4 ties in 5 games we have failed to score.
Drought West Manchester seems particularly badly affected by drought this summer. At times on the M60 I had to reduce the wipers to occasional wipe only.

Last night I dreamt* I went to Bolton again. It seemed to me I stood by the iron turnstile leading to the stands, and for a while I could not enter, for the way was barred. There was a defence and a midfield upon the pitch. I called in my dream to the keeper, and had no answer, and peering closer through the rusty legs of the attackers, I saw the Blues had not scored. No goals came from the attacks, and the little zero by our team's name seemed forlorn. Then, like all dreamers, I was possessed of a sudden emotional collapse as Bolton handled the ball past our defence.
*Watched the live stream.

You mean we aren't actually formally named 'Birmingham City 0'? An intriguing theory. There is no proof of this of course.
I suspect it will be easier to prove string theory.

The guy who made the original GTA lives near me and they got him into the local primary school to talk to the kids about his work. I dread to think how he explained the game, unless it was part of a module on running people over and driving away at high speed while listening to Phil Collins. I remember playing a version way back which was very different. 60s London theme and one mission involved kidnapping QPR's star player.

London 1969, based on the original game, I think. You're brown bread London 1969 was superb. I completed it loads before playing original GTA. I used to throw bombs outside the building where I worked at the time (in game only. well mostly in game only)

I remember playing a version way back which was very different. 60s London theme and one mission involved kidnapping QPR's star player. Think that was the first one I played too - in between 1 and 2 I think. At that time, the game was banned in France. I don't know why, but presumably it was because they had French games programmers setting fire to Amigas on the motorways in protest at the threat to their indigenous violent car chase game industry.

For an added frisson of excitement, I chucked a few dried birdseye chillis in my cheese and onion sandwich when making it last night. I’d forgotten this until now. Four stars.
Perhaps didn’t need the default habanero sauce.
