Hello. I'm not sure what has possessed me to drop in, but I have.
In the console debate, the only rational answer is don't bother and just get a beast mode power bastard of a PC. This is not the place for rationality though.

Xbox: - Best performance/ graphics (on the X at least)
- Most reliable servers
- More 'gamer friendly' due to cross play
- Game pass is a very good deal ( ~£8 a month for a shit ton of games and every console exclusive that has/will be released)
PS4:
- More players
- Better exclusives, by a country mile
- The console of choice in here
- Bloodbourne

So I'm waiting for red dead 2 to come out but I've only got the Xbox 360. What do I upgrade to? Xbox or ps? (honestly I'm so out of touch). PS4 or xbone. The question that has plagued generations since around 4am our time. We're mostly on PS4 - but don't let that put you off, you're in a different timezone. You're already bought into the Xbox infrastructure so it kinda makes sense to stick with that. A lot of the games you own may well be backwards compatible and there may well be platform only games such as err Forza you may wish to play. I jumped from 360 to ps4. My reason though was ridiculous. The original bone couldn't stand on its side and the only space we had for a console was between the TV unit and the wall. You've been in my house, you know the space I mean. You haven't? Oh. Who was that in the Mounty uniform with a bear on a chain. Mrs Crank said it was you. Akward. I jumped from ps2 to Xbox 360 and pretty much regretted it but now maybe it's time for a move back.....space isn't an issue for me...... as others have pointed out my biggest worry is the space time continuium. |

My ZX81 had a whopping 1K of memory, and a popular computer mag of the time claimed that you could actually run a program designed to fit on a 2K machine, as long as you entered the code as Z-80 machine code instead of BASIC.
This involved entering about 1000 hex addresses in sequence, copied from the magazine, with no error checking, no copy/paste, no printout, no save and reload, and then running it. Each attempt took about 4 hours and I must have tried it dozens of times. Every time it crashed and wiped the memory.
The following week they printed an apology for a 1 character error in the page of hex.
It was about this time I started to swear a lot

I should be on board with cyberpunk but I'm not, really not sure I want an elder Scrolls esque first person game, Witcher 3s third person is preferable in my humble opinion. |
