I also watched the second episode of Alias Grace last night. With the exception of the good doctor, men are portrayed quite negatively. Also the main character had a bloody period which I felt was excessive. Overall, still not much happening. Do we have reviews from Mrs Baby of the shows you suggest? I'm not suggesting we invite our partners here - that would just be mayhem. I will include her review for episode 3. She has read the book though which in my view taints her opinion. |

Got up late and jumped elk like onto my train as the doors closed this morning. The train was then cancelled two stops later and we all had to get off.
I really should write my memoirs some day. It would have one of those things like a fashion brand on the front where it says “London, New York, Paris” except it would say “Slough, Burnham, Taplow” and have a picture of me necking a can of monster.

Demon's Souls Servers
I can only presume this means a remastered version is coming out for PS4.
Nothing else makes sense.
Also a box set of the Souls trilogy.

Last time I played demon's briefly the world seemed fairly empty.
I'm not sure there are any people still playing it.
By contrast i got invaded twice in Huntsman's Copse on Sunday in DS2.

Hello,
Yesterday evening there was not as much evening left as anticipated. As a consequence I found myself hanging up washing as the witching hour was drawing near.
Games: Bit of Mario Odyssey. First I realised that Nintendo should be concerned about employing the occasional sadist among their level designers, because in my opinion you don't need a bunch of enemies on top of flipping AND spinning platforms. And set the whole thing to jaunty music. One moon at the end remained elusive because I couldn't make the last jump. Will return to this when I'm not constantly being nudged by the cat.
Then I moved on in the game to stuff that hasn't featured in promotional material, so can't talk about it. But superb.
TV: House of Cards, just over half of Season 5 (which now looks to remain the last season, for which I'm grateful). Will talk about the whole thing once I've made it to the end, since there's no FRANK to stop me. Want to start Stranger Things.

I read this morning they're restarting shooting on series 6 of House of Cards on Dec 8th. They can do that (presumably without Spacey), but it's always like that with US shows, they don't know when to end. Oh, last night I was also busy facepalming when I read about the real President of the United States meeting Navajo World War II veterans under a portrait of Andrew Jackson and babbling about Pocahontas. Another reason why HoC has to pack it in, they can't compete with reality any longer without looking silly. |

Four weeks ago I ordered a pair of Bluetooth headphones which didn't arrive. I raised an issue with the seller via PayPal who responded by asking me to kindly wait 180 days for them to arrive before escalating it. A six month wait for a pair of £8 headphones seemed a bit ridiculous so I escalated it via PayPal asking for a refund.
This morning I received an email from PayPal saying they had found in my favour and were arranging a refund.
Ten minutes ago the postman delivered a package containing the headphones.
So it goes.

Oh yeah, Games.
Last night I played some more Wardor. I now have two castles, rescued some gondor people, tried to convert a few captains but I’m still too low a level so I killed them instead.
Had a long drawn out battle with the guy who’s castle I stole, who has somehow picked up the ability to adapt to my attacks. Just as he was about to kill me, one of my other captains jumped in and saved me. Which was nice.
I don’t expect anyone to read that.
I also made a Malaysian chicken satay thing, which was lovely.
