Stxdpr's question made me wonder: do you think that there will be a 'this year's best games countdown' at the other place? I've got the opposite problem from stxdpr: I've got a backlog as long as my arm, possibly both arms... Playing Mario right now, earlier did housework whilst listening to a loop of the Snow kingdom music, makes you skip through the house and puts you in the mood for Christmas. Dinner: Thai fishcakes, stir fry, New Zealand white Non specific grape(s)?

That reminds me, it's bin night. The size of a washing machine? Of course now all I can think of is a washing machine blasting into orbit

Evening.
The RPG chat, earlier today, made me realise I have only bought two games this year.
Shadow of War and Final Fantasy XII. Now I don't count FFXII as new. It makes my GOTY vote every easy. In the last gen I was buying about one game a month
It makes me think that there is a lack of good new games coming through, thoughts?

Destry, Is there a way you can stop lurkers from commenting? I mean if you have opinions, terrible or otherwise, even here you should be held account for them.

You can't seem to post as Guest from the Desktop site, but you can from mobile. I am able to set postings to Members only. I'll give it a try.

You have to do this for every new thread as well I'm not sure you do. I set the permissions at the General Discussion level, and I think any thread below that has the same permissions set. Fair enough, I thought the thing I posted said you did, but it makes sense if the top thread has those permissions they would cascade down
<edit> It is a thread by thread basis, forgot that the boxes are all sub threads of "General"

299 Guests? That's a lot. I suppose we indirectly have The Guardian to thank for the re-directed traffic (and of course Chatterboxers for posting the link).
EDIT: I suppose it could just be one poor sod who logged in as Guest nearly 300 times.
