BREAKING: Elon Musk out as chairman at Tesla, pays $20 million in settlement. Not a minute too soon. Pity though. Why does he have to be like that?

Hi Anyone knownif Minecraft is easy for a six year old to get into. My son wanted to play fortnite which isnt going to happen but he has now mentioned Minecraft. Ive heard of it and seems a good game for young kids to play but they have tried Mario and Wonderboy 3 and they have shit controller skills, i dont remember ever being as bad. Hi That's about the same age I got my youngest daughter into gaming. And with that very game. I've not really played it, but after being asked (kids at school had it), I just downloaded it to my old Ps3 and gave her the controller. Then left the room...not really, gave a few tips I'd cribbed for her older cousin. Then left. Some of the creations she built were pretty impressive. I would say it's the perfect game for that age. She then asked for mincraft story mode, so that was purchased for birthday. Got the disc with all episodes on, but less of a hit, think it was too old for her. I then tried to introduce 'proper' games so bought the Sega megadrive classics (that 40ish games bundle). The only one that got a lot of game time was Streets of Rage. And then Fortnite came along. Everyone at school is playing it etc... So downloaded to my ps4. Six months later, she only wants to play Fortnite. It's a great game, but it's just one game, all the time. Hence one of the reasons I just bought a minis snes was to introduce something else. So far Mario karts is a hot, but got bored with secret of mana. Tldr - kids like games their mates are playing. I'm probably not in the running for parent of the year*. *the head teacher at the primary school sent out a letter saying "it has some to my attention some children are playing an age 12 game... Blah... your scum if you do this etc..blah" You're. Your welcome.

I bought Minecraft when it was still in beta, the main reason to get it at the time was it and all future updates were yours in perpetuity, I of course have lost all my login details etc so not the greatest deal
It's certainly a good game for children and have made quite a few youtubers very rich by playing on that fact

The X does seem expensive and you don't need 4k so the s seems a better bet. You planning on a new TV anytime soon? www.trustedreviews.com/opinion/xbox-one-x-vs-one-s-2993240

I definitely wouldn't bother with the Xbox one x now, the S is much better value and still looks good on a fancy telly with HDR and upscaling and you still the get the 4K DVD player. Having said that the PS4 slim is still a tad more powerful the S. Probably can't go wrong with either the S or slim if it's just really RDR2 you are playing.

Also there will online multiplayer like GTAV, so if you want to do that think about what other people you want to play with have.
Personally I'd get the best you can afford because there is no reason to buy a new console as soon as it comes out so that would be the X or Pro and will last a fair number of years with a large back catalogue

Morning you lot,
Breakfast. croissants & jam with coffee. TV. More 2nd series Sneaky Pete Games. As strictly is back on I was PS4 remote play to the laptop. Did a few Terrorbyte Missions which are on 2x$. Unlocked the cheap price for the oppressor MK2. Bought it. Meh. Instant buyer's remorse. Hopefully some sleeping dogs tonight.
Another day of the child going places. Second last tennis lesson and then immediately after a drive to a party. It's a greatest showman themed party. Don't think there's a bearded lady.

Hi
I still feel subhuman, like I've been looking at pictures of Michael Goves face all day, and tomorrow I have a presentation to give*
The joy.
Today I shall be mostly coughing.
* It's about SCIENCE again. Except this time the audience are millennials, so I can pretty much just make it up since they won't be listening anyway.

Oh. and i had two games of Fortnite. 50th and 20th. Still dunno how to thank the driver. He was muttering something about exact change but I've got a zonecard. Built a stair and a wall. Inside a house so pretty pointless. had an assault rifle, a shotty, a pistol. Shot someone once.

Millennials are getting a real hammering in the media lately, with that Fay Weldon furore the latest example. Don't people realise that all this 'snowflake' stuff is really the insidious mainstreaming of a right-wing political narrative? Frankly I feel increasingly sorry for bloggie and his feckless, precious, cereal munching ilk.

Breakfast: Crunchy Nuts. I swore eternal loyalty to Kellogg's after they pissed off Breitbart. Now that Felice has happily assembled a new shelf, feel free to join the pisstaking at the other place apropos the "saga" a loving father had to endure. www.theguardian.com/business/2018/sep/30/ikea-ruined-surprise-late-furniture-delivery* Edit: maybe I shouldn't have cut a hole in my screen. Games: none Film: In Bruges 4 * Goodnight I watched that. In my top 10 films. SPOILER ALERT I had it on DVD, and would annoy the wife by replaying the bit where a certain actor would hit the ground, over and over again, just for the 'splat'. In fact, where is my DVD?

There's no way my ex is a millennial snowflake. Make the boundary later in the eighties and we can talk.
