Take me to the magic of the moment on a glory night Where the children of tomorrow dream away dream away in the wind of change! Do do do... And people accuse me of being sappy. Sappy Silcox? It's got a certain ring to it

Talking to my pal last night who is playing Norman's sky. He was commenting how friendly everyone is.
Too friendly for his liking as a guy kept following him round. The random gave him some rare stuff - about 400(?)units worth. So he felt obliged to hang about.

I might try dropping some rares and see if anyone collects them. I've raided so many other player bases I feel I should give back something to restore my karmic balance. NMSis quite friendly - more so than Elite, where I get the feeling behind every hollow square is an itchy trigger finger

Chumbles is going after my weak rear end in Neptune's Pride. Is that you chumbles on the attack? Going after the puppy trailing at the rear of the group? Quite right. Show no mercy. cranky, if you stick your weak rear end in my face, try and dump on me, and attack me without warning, don't act surprised whhen I take a boot your nethers... and I will be joined by at least 3 more guys by the look of the stuff heading your way.

OTTM - my oven element blew at the start of the week, so I have been forced to go back to deep-frying my oven chips. This has been a revelation. Would recommend. The new element arrived yesterday - I'm going to try and avoid fitting it for a few more days yet until I can hear my arteries hardening.

Some years ago I was slightly drunk on quality/value/avalibilty sweet spot red wine on Shooters Island in Prahaha and the bar by the bridge started blasting out Winds Of Change. Naturally I joined in with a hearty resonant bellow, honking across the Vlatava like a lost, baffled and mournful elephant seal. Ah, the romance of Bohemia!

Band of brothers. End of story. It is an amazing series. Certainly better than The Pacific. I think that a series based around the British campaign in Burma could be brilliant.

Ww1 my Irish great grandad fought in France. Bit controversial due to the politics at the time. Ww2 Eire was neutral and my grandad was an mp for 6 years.my other one built roads so was essential. No war stories here. I've just remembered that my great-uncle, after whom I was named, built the railways across Canada. Your welcome. Tell him to come back and finish the job we need more. Passenger trains can take 50-70 hours just to cross a short distance as the oil freight takes precedence.

Yep, I havent ever rewatched the Pacific, but BoB gets brought out and rewatched every couple of years. Why we fight gets me in the feels everytime and Bastogne. I read somewhere there's a third series in the works for a trilogy. Not Burma, but around the airforce which could be interesting. War stories- my grandad fought in Burma, obviously he never talked about it. The only story I heard was a tiger fell asleep on his hut and the rest of the camp panicked, my grandad unaware slept through the whole thing. Ive also been, (on holiday) it is a spectacular country with amazing people. All the recent goings on have marred it a little though, sadly.

My primary school headmaster was in Burma in WW2. You could tell which class had a sick teacher as all he seemed to teach them was how to count to 10 in Burmese. Fantastic foundation for your education that.

Chinese takeaway and a pitiful two beers. Also watched the new Jurasic Park, but don’t because it’s rubbish. It’s chucking it down here as well.
No games.

Coobblers killed it.
Good news! I've reached the final chapter in Octogenarian Travel Ban. Light at the end of the optional dungeon and all that.
Chicken & bacon pie for dinner, with a South African red, last bottle of my special stash. Weather unpleasant, no going out.
Are you all busy lassoing witnesses of your misdeeds?
