Sush Mr C. I need to go to bed... I don't have the advantage of Keef's auto box setup. i have to do it all manually. (I'm also more reliable). BTW I just watched the last episode of Blackadder goes Forth on BBC 4. Poignant.

It certainly was, easy to forget just how unbelievably inhuman that war was. I cried when I watched that ... my grandfathers both fought in WW1... my mother's father fought at the Somme and Arras, being invalided back home as a result of the latter... when he died at 94, the post mortem revealed that trench plague toxins had riddled his body ... The other guy said he was a stoker on a monitor at Gallipoli which was sunk. He was a real blagger and my father said that virtually everything he said was romancing the past - as no monitors were sunk at Gallipoli ... He also said were descendants of Oliver Cromwell ...

I don't know of any relatives that fought in either world war. They all had reserved occupations. Apart from one. He fell asleep at the side of the road (in France - WWII) and woke up surrounded by german soldiers. Never fired a shot. Quite sensible really.

Been up since 5.30 a.m. My legs rate 1.5 hrs. of torture and 2 Nurseys...
Me? I rate a door and phone sticker warning me not to answer the door to strangers or to hang up the phone if I don't know the caller. Which would make dealing with the NHS damned difficult. The latter were delivered by a female bobby so young, so improbably pretty I checked the calendar to make sure if was not my birthday ... Later.

My great Granddad had the job of going out to bombs dropped in London during WW2, he died of the poisons from those bombs eventually (chlorine, mustard or whatever they were using).
Mrs Fark's late great Grandad was stationed in Italy during WW2 and got lost driving back to the base and drove straight into the oncoming Italians who duly captured him. He said they treated him brilliantly, but the Germans far less so.
War eh?

Now I think about it, my Grandfather was in the Army - but never left Scotland (drafted - war over). Legend. My father missed conscription by 2 months. I think there may be a family trait there.

Good morning boxers of Wimbledon (mostly Scotland though right?)
Yesterday: no games.
Went to a taco place before heading to Peckham levels for some beers, working from home today so a solid 4 stars all round.

Chemical weapons* weren't used during WWII, and certainly not dropped on London. *yes, I know the Germans used Xyklon B in the camps. You know what I mean.

Morning!
One Granddad was in the Army, the other in the Navy, not sure if they even did a war though, didn't get a chance to ask.
Ganes! Watched a very obvious aim hacker get a 'play of the game' on Overwatch (three headshots, in quick succession, using sniper woman whilst spinning and jumping like a loon? at least try and make it look legit you fucking idiot). Rage quit because I couldn't find the report button and turned on RDR2 instead. Did a bank job (who knew cracking safes was so easy, eh?) and a couple more Gray/ Braithewaite missions. Fell asleep a couple of hours in, as is the custom.
TV! Caught up on the Apprentice. The right person went. Smarmy cunt.

Well he died of poisoning somehow related to those bombs, I guess dropping bombs on London probably released some unhealthy gases.

Hello all. It took me over an hour to get to work, for a commute that should only take half an hour. An accident had closed the A27, and I naturally got caught between junctions.
No games lasts night. Watched some more Arrested Development, finished the first series. BEES?!
Then watched the first episode of Good News, which has potential. Might continue with it.
Also finished Tenacious D's Post Apocalypto. Stupidly fun.

Don't mention the war... Someone above me did but I think we got away with it.
Shipyards. Protected industry. Both sides.

He woke up surrounded by German soldiers kicking him and pointing rifles at him. "surrounded by some other german soldiers". I should clarify that the 'other' in that statement is an error in my part. He was in the British Army.
