Morning! More Kingdom Come for me last night. Did my initial training, beat the local lord at both archery and sword fighting then went on a crime spree and bought some fancy new clothes with my proceeds. Awesome game. Still finding it tricky to fight more than one person at a time, suppose that's down to the realism the devs have gone for though. Tonight I'll be having my 4th try at taking down a bandit camp, this time I intend to wait until midnight and slit their throats in their sleep. Should be fun. Saw this when looking around at new possible games. Seems like a good option.

Last night I happily did side quests. Completing them, going all the way to a faraway corner of the map (for the second time) in an attempt to complete them (needs third item - dammit), still being in the process of completing them, picking up new ones. Progress is glacial, with the indicator for side quests still only about half way. Primrose has re-joined the B team because I needed two characters to guide/allure simultaneously, but she's pulling her weight as a second job scholar. This and a Switch have moved to my Amazon wishlist which is the first part of my procrastination before buying it, doesn't quite go with my aim to spend less on gaming though

Morning! Blabyblahblah - if you have any smart home devices then you can use the echo dot to control them. Failing that it'll make a nice little kitchen timer and radio/podcast device. Ability to set multiple timers is very useful. "Alexa set a 30 minute toed-in-the hole timer".

Saw this when looking around at new possible games. Seems like a good option. I'd recommend watching a gameplay video first. It's first person but not your usual combat. It's a bit tricky to get used to, very technical block/ parry/ dodge system in play. Ultimately rewarding once it 'clicks' though.

Chumbles! If you’re constantly getting surprised and not able to take your morphine, why not just take the morphine every day? You’ll always be prepared then, and if she doesn’t turn up you’ll have a lovely few hours. Can’t see anything going wrong with this at all. Smart arse... I took Tramadol and Oramorph every day for 3 years ... I had to also take Laxido every day for 3 years ... when you get it wrong, you get horrendous (it rhymes with emancipation) 😫... the record was 9.terrified.days... What's worst is that you're put onto this regime to make Nursey's life easier. So I learned to bear a lot more pain and stopped taking Tramadol and Laxido and only take Oramorph on treatment days... Believe me, it's better this way.

She's good thanks. Well behaved except for a slight blip over Christmas where she threw a small dog into a canal.

Ability to set multiple timers is very useful. "Alexa set a 30 minute toed-in-the hole timer". Will it tell you how much is left on the timer? eg so you can shove pasta on ten mins before the end. Not that I have pasta with my toad.

Not that I have pasta with my toad. you can ask it how long you’ve got left, and even set multiple timers

Which hasn't stopped me from buying several more, of course.

She's good thanks. Well behaved except for a slight blip over Christmas where she threw a small dog into a canal. ...she what? She ran up to it on the towpath, they sniffed around each other, then she nonchalantly shoved it in to the canal and walked on whilst I ran over to offer profuse apology and the owner was on his knees trying to pull the poor thing out. Not even a fight, my dog just seemed to take exception for some reason and her way of dealing with it was to stick the dog in the canal and walk on. Stone cold. Thankfully the owner was quite understanding but his sad little face as he clutched his bedraggled pet to him haunted me over Christmas. Anyway RDR2. Marvellous hmmm? I love it. I love the action of the stories and I love the slow paced horse rides through the terrain. For some reason I loved spending two weeks hunting a perfect American Robin for basically no reason at all. The way the characters interact is the first proper next-gen thing I think we've seen on the PS4.

Dover to Southampton: motorways or coast road? Motorway. I did mount a roundabout at one point, and have to get recovery to send me back to the start.

I've got a mate who decided to save money on his gaming throne by building it himself from a camping chair and a couple of planks of wood.
It isn't very good.

Just a hunch. No poirot-esque thinking involved. I have another friend who has converted a small room in his house to house a simulator. Big, curved screen, surround sound speakers, hydraulics to shift the seat. He is also single.

On Formula One Simulator on the Spectrum there was an option where you could put a roll of sellotape over the keyboard controls and use it as an ersatz steering wheel by putting pressure on the relevant parts of the circle. That's how we made our own fun before we had camping chairs and planks of wood.

Might be onto something with that.

A window?
I wonder if Grezmo's dog was just following the KonMari method and the other dog didn't spark joy, so went in the canal.
