Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Daredevil S2, Punisher, The Expanse, Dirk Gently, Stranger Things, Glow Does Dirk gently get better? I started it but really didn't get into it. Not sure if you ever saw the canceled series the BBC did but I thought it was much better I thought it did, it all starts to tie together and there’s some really good moments later in the series |

It's always had adverts (after the first ad-free month anyway). They do tend to be pretty discreet though. And the forum is hosted for free. There is an option to pay for ad-free, but, hey, I'm a cheapskate... EDIT: I don't get pop-ups though. I don't think the ghostly lurker is talking about the usual banner/footer ads but redirects and page hijacks. I've had 'Win and iPhone' and something to do with ASDA, both whisked me off down their nefarious ad-holes from which you can't escape without shutting the page. |

Does Dirk gently get better? I started it but really didn't get into it. Not sure if you ever saw the canceled series the BBC did but I thought it was much better I agree that the BBC series was much better, but the Netflix one definitely gets better as it goes on. I watched the whole thing with Mr Enemy who didn't complain once, and he is notoriously picky. |

I suspect even the 'premium' ad free option falls victim to it off and on. Just standard predatory ad-ware that Charles used to shield us from with his big stick. Now we're out in the big, bad world standing on our own two feet dealing with the grumkins and bandersnatches let loose by the ad-men. |

I'm glad I'm not the only one who enjoyed it, it's a real shame it got cancelled after one series in my view! Stephen mangan was fantastic in it, I think because being abit irritating and smug is just who he is as a person. |

I've been watching Orphan Black on Netflix. It's pretty good. It's got Max Headroom in it. The first season is absolute quality. I really enjoyed it. I can't remember if I stopped watching halfway through the second or third season. |

I thought the BBC one was disappointing it was close to the books but not enough, the new one basically throws the book's plots away but still keeps a Dirk Gently vibe I really enjoyed it I think one thing that's very different is that the BBC series centred on Mangan's performance, while in the other one (it's actually BBC America, I thought it was produced by Netflix) Dirk Gently is one of the weaker characters in an otherwise stellar cast. Once one can accept that it's very enjoyable. |
