Morning all, Picked up RDR2. Lots of wandering around and not doing much. Skyrim without the charm*. I'm sure it'll get better. *doing it wrong most probably. Theres plenty of charm in RDR, but there is quite a bit of riding around looking at the scenery. The drinking with Lenny mission is great though. |

So Shenguin’s set up an elaborate con and he needs a fake family for cover? He's clearly in a not-so safe house. I was also led to believe his car was 'in the garage' again. Something smells a bit fishy and it ain't my pants* *might be my pants. |

In other life news, some little sod has crashed into my parked car. Bonnet and front bumper a bit out of shape. Looks minorish and probably drives, but my guess is it will be a right off. Police advised me not to drive it to work in case the bonnet flaps up. Edit: on the plus side, I am typing this message on the loo with the door open in an otherwise empty house. You'd think someone with two degrees in English might know the difference between right and write. |

In other life news, some little sod has crashed into my parked car. Bonnet and front bumper a bit out of shape. Looks minorish and probably drives, but my guess is it will be a right off. Police advised me not to drive it to work in case the bonnet flaps up. Edit: on the plus side, I am typing this message on the loo with the door open in an otherwise empty house. You'd think someone with two degrees in English might know the difference between right and write. I think it's a Thing, innit? Horrowing mistake to make if it's not a Blog Thing. I'll be on tenderhooks until there's confirmation; navigating Blog Things is a real mindfield. |

I do not for one second believe Shenguin. His story is less plausible than Blues clinging on for a 4-3 win after being 4-0 up and conceding an injury time penalty.
The write/right confusion.
I do accept his car has been smashed up.

I suspect it's largely my unfamiliarity with all the goings on. I don't have fast travel and hunting is tricky. I also need to remember to keep eating etc. Difficult not to get continually distracted from what you are trying to do. I am confident I'll grow to like it all but at the moment it feels very disconnected. |

I keep forgetting to eat, just have some of the stew when I get back to camp every now and then. Have you done the mission for Strauss yet? When you get upgrades, upgrade Dutch’s tent first, it makes the others donate more. |

Mission. Go to the shop and buy a cigar.
Bronze award. Two unticked boxes:
Didn't walk on hands.
Didn't whistle the Camobian national anthem whilst passing a tree.
And I say this as someone who has consistently failed to tick boxes. At least the good ones.

At least the good ones. Pressing left on the controller should bring up a checklist during the mission. Or you could replay it. The only mission I’ve replayed is the drinking with Lenny one. |
