Nah, Ratatouille is more reference on VHS than Die Hard 2.*
*It's not.

Hey, ratatouille heads! I also need some advice from the hive mind. My sister in law would like to know what she should get for my birthday. I'd like to give her links to games on Amazon, as it's the easiest to order from for her and she can see what it is and silently judge my taste in games. However, in the recent post-Christmas e-shop sales bonanza I sort of got everything I want for now on the Switch, with the exception of Diablo III, which is at the moment again cheaper on the e-shop than the physical copy on Amazon, and Tales of Vesperia. I have also just managed to purchase by phone an official replacement battery for my poor neglected 3DS, which I haven't touched since I got the Switch almost two years ago because it had a wonky battery and a full SD card that can't be upgraded anymore and the Switch is better. So, do I ask her for 3DS games (Detective Pikachu, the Luigi's Mansion remake, Persona Q/Q2)? I would rather hope that Nintendo would bring these games sometime to the Switch instead, but I suppose I might be waiting for a long time. OR Do I ask her for Diablo III because that way I don't have to pay for it myself and Tales of Vesperia? AND/OR Do I ask her to preorder Final Fantasy X/X2 and/or XII for me because I will get those anyway? Bear in mind that my backlog is something terrible to behold, so the last option would buy me a bit of time but wouldn't give her the satisfaction of knowing that I actually got something in the post on the birthday. tldr: First world problems. I like Diablo III on Switch, but it is a bit mindless. I think you really need to crank up the difficulty for it to be challenging. It does seem like there is a lot of content since they have been updating it since it launched, and it looks very nice. I bought Tales of Vesperia after seeing people raving about it, it seems ok but not a huge fan of the combat system, and its anime bullshit. Basically the gameplay is ok but the characters are all awful. Final Fantasy XII seems like a good choice 3DS - I really wanted to like Detective Pikachu but its not great. Radiant Historia and SMT Strange Journey are some of the late releases that are really good. Other Switch Games That Matter - Pokemon, Dark Souls, Monster Hunter, Mario and Rabbids, Valkyria Chronicles 1/4, people rave about Ys VIII but... anime bullshit, same goes for Xenoblade Chronic 2, Captain Toed if you didn't play it on Wii U.

I have to say, if sheep doesn't like ratatouille on a baked potato, he probably isn't going to enjoy it on a VHS either.

Ratatouille and/or Haggis, in a can. Can any other bloggers beat that? Weird things in a can?
I was in a French supermarket on a school trip once and they had frogs legs in a can. Filthy French. I wish I had bought them. And the checkout girl ripped me off by a few centimes, the filthy french bitch.*
* Well, she was.. I'm still Chris Brown angry about it, 35 years later.

I reckon Toolio didn't like the institutionalised French racism that is prevalent here (Amipals fault) and so surrendered (!) his laptop in exchange for some onions, cheese and a big surly shrug.
Frexit now!

I had a DVD copy of Blade Runner that didn't look much better than VHS. It was hideous. I trust the Ultimate Edition is a vast improvement on this? Mad Max Fury Road is astounding in high definition. I think Christopher Nolan's films also get a good treatment. I still really want to try the Black and chrome/white edition of Mad Max, even though there’s nothing more to it. It works very well. Though it isn't strictly black and white - its monochrome.

Chromexit now. Also, wtf? The only non-B&W monochrome film I've seen is A Short Film About Killing. Also, sort out the apostrophes, even though my first complaint was aimed at Tuffer's.
