I am genuinely uncertain you can pretend to be a proper actual adult male if you haven't seen all the films (excluding the current one). It's a pretty low bar. It's not compulsory viewing for adult females? Phew...

Bugger, seriously!? Egg on my face. I need to be more committed to the valley. I know enough now though to know I've really cocked this playthrough up. It is a wonderful game, trying to get with Hayley at the moment and get that Marnie woman to let me into her bedroom so I can get the mayors pants. EDIT: Bollocks. I don't know how to correct this either, so I'll leave it up as a monument to my stupidity. It's not that bad a mistake, really. Just means you'll be waiting a little longer for the greenhouse. Top tip, if you're less than half way through Summer, buy and plant an apple tree. It's used in two bundles and will produce enough for both by the end of Autumn. Also, Marnie likes quartz (should be easy enough to get in the mine by now) and, iirc, Hayley likes shells.

Of the prequels I watched all of the PM, half of the second one and only the first silly fight with Count oompa loompa, all the others bar SW and LJ in the cinema.
So what can I pretend to be?

Hi!
I saw Star Wars and i liked it.
I find people who wear not having seen them as a badge of pride a bit odd.

I don't see this as an issue of pride one way or the other, except I'm not stupid enough to carry on watching then all regardless like some slavering feeble-minded man-child. 2) Some of them were deeply deeply shit, and the rest mostly for the feeble-minded. 3) I am absolutely feeble-minded, but that doesn't mean I have to watch all the films.

Morning! I have seen the new Star Wars film yet. So... careful with the spoilerooneys, yeah?
Christmas tree went "up" yesterday, and by "up" I mean stupidly low. I had to saw off a good four inches from the trunk to get it to fit in the stand, so we're looking down on it. Four stars.
I did not watch or play anything last night, other than a rewatch of the MST3K'd Cry Wilderness.

We got our Christmas tree this weekend too. Having left it so late it was the last 7 footer in the shop, a twisted Lovecraftian parody of a Christmas tree.

My comment wasn't aimed at you as such. The new ones are good though so you are missing out.

I find people who wear not having seen them as a badge of pride a bit odd. I'm finding people who assume* that those who had no occasion to experience [insert popoular thing] wear this as a badge of pride a bit odd. *also assume that everyone has access to the same means of entertainment and that something that is popular in the anglophone world is and has been equally popular elsewhere

The comment was more aimed at people who are all: "I've never seen any of these *films/band/artist/insert popular cultural item here*" *smug face emoji* like missing something that is popular makes them better than the people who have seen it and enjoyed it. Watching something and not liking it is fine. To have never seen a thing but look down on those who enjoyed it is just odd.

It's still OK to look down on people who watch the X-Factor though, isn't it?

Games: None. Other stuff: Saw Star Wars. I liked it, didn't love it but definitely enjoyed it, plus where the thingy does the thingy is one of the greatest cinematic shots of all time IMHO. Need to watch it again for a better appraisal. Four stars. Other other stuff: I am basically not having a day sober now until January 8th and then contemplating a liver transplant.

No love for plastic Christmas trees? I do as it means a tree hasnt had to die in front of me over a period of a few weeks. Crying out for its tree friends (some trees communicate danger with each other)

Crying out for its tree friends (some trees communicate danger with each other) I think those ones are called telegraph poles.

We use a plastic tree. I don't see the point of having an insect ridden piece of slowly dying conifer sat in my living room all xmas.
