The south coast of England had been basking in twenty-four-degree heat for much of the day. It's so hot. Milk was a bad choice. 27c outside; 29c in here (sun on windows)... curtains drawn windows closed. The outside air temperature is well over 29c as the fences, my portico, trap and magnify so anything open sucks in hotter air. My legs in four layers of bandages really cook well. My saviour is an 18" oscillating fan. There's a lot more to make me miserable in this weather, but why should you have to .... |

Hello.
Chicken & puy lentil stew thing for dinner. Ideal for 25° weather. Made a pile though for freezing. The Autumn/Winter cookfest starts here.
Tonight hopefully some more Div2.
Film wise I don't think there's much out we want to see.
I noticed they've remade Jacobs ladder. Is that what life becomes hurtling towards death -tutting at remakes of movies?

The plastic panels took only 2 years to work themselves free enough to depart one stormy night for some as yet unidentifiable location in the next county. I then had it reclad by a roofer, who was a bit surprised, but did an excellent job. Gardeners, general builders tend not to realize just how completely you have to secure structures in a wind channel ... Stops the neighbours peering over the fence through my patio doors and they get the same privacy. |
