Hello! Life has been busy since I joined the exclusive 4k club. Today the grandkids are visiting, and with a bit of luck they might even bring their parents. Our garden is only accessible via two sets of stairs that can't be negotiated by the Preferred Mammal, who I've just ordered a wheelchair for - the struggle with going out and about last week has really shown how a wheelchair would give him more freedom. So we can't sit in the garden on a nice day like this and have therefore decided to go to a pub with an outside play area so that the kids can burn off some energy.
Meanwhile the neighbours have filled me in on the recent police operation. An elderly lady who lives with her even elderlier mother was visited by what she thought was a nurse, who did a number of nurse-y things and waved them goodbye having helped herself to £500 cash. Totally rotten, very unlikely that they will catch her. Chumbles, deploy your machine gun turrets against nurse imposters, lock away your valuables.
Ganes: DQB2, what else? I'm ready to go to the next story island, but there's still some stuff I'd like to do on the Isle of Awakening. At the request of Dougie I'd laid some mine cart tracks that are running through the top of my pyramid. Conchord is right, doing a roller coaster-style mine cart track is a lot of fun. I also thought that it's time to do a bit of mining, so I tunnelled into the rock. Turns out that this was the beach side and the end of my tunnel got slightly flooded with sea water, but I'll definitely to more of that at the other end of the mountain range. Hopelessly addicted, there's always the "I'll just do one more thing... and another... and another... oops, it's 2am...".
TV: Delighted to see that the BBC iplayer now has Ashes to Ashes as a box set. I've watched it, but Preferred Mammal had only seen Life on Mars. Now watching both back to back.
