Bloggie 9 votes Felice 2 votes Rolling 1 vote Crank 1 vote Shenguin 2 votes Prudy01 10 votes John Bercow 8 votes The vote-counting operation started soon after polls closed at 6am, and the results are in. Decided definitively, objectively and democratically: Best 2000 comment at the other place: Bloggie with 9 votes. To blame for Bloggie being cruelly hounded out: prudy01.

I look forward to reading Prudy01's account of this shambles in his upcoming autobiography.

Good morning, Faceless jnr started school a couple of weeks ago, and so inevitably he's now being exposed to things from other kids that we'd previously tried to shelter him from. This morning I heard the words no parent ever wants to hear:
"daddy, can we watch the star wars with jar jar binks?"

This morning I heard the words no parent ever wants to hear: "daddy, can we watch the star wars with jar jar binks?" My son loves star wars, watched all the originals multiple times, desperate to see the new ones at the cinema etc, but I never showed him the prequels. Then one time he was in hospital with dehydration from vomiting, barely able to speak or eat, lying there with a glum face communicating only by slowly nodding or shaking his head. He was in a room with a DVD player, so in a fit of parental concern I went to HMV and bought the prequels to see if it would cheer him up. He was looked really excited to discover there were 3 star wars films he hadn't seen. I put on the Phantom Menace, and 45 minutes later he uttered his first proper sentence in nearly 48 hours: 'please turn it off dad'. I'm very proud of the lad.

That must have been an amazing moment Rolling. Top parenting, well done!
Edit: you should have saved the story for the G and tried to get a pick though. And maybe not let him have so much whiskey in future.

For some reason we've become a bit more chatty over the last week, is this what drove Bloggie away?

Hello. Making more pasta sauce. Again we seem to have bought weapons grade shallots. I looked like I had been maced when chopping them.
Half of the last batch made it to the garage - but not quite into the freezer. I discovered said Tupperware on the garage floor a couple of days later. Fuck knows what happened as some *was* in the freezer. Yes, yes... We've got two freezers.
Games! A little BOTW. More tonight during strictly.
TD2. Trying to sort out the ridiculous inventory I have to get my stats up to 325 for the next big mission. Did a couple of control points.
OTTM. What the actual fuck are the Labour party doing?

This morning I heard the words no parent ever wants to hear: "daddy, can we watch the star wars with jar jar binks?" "Junior, all things named B*nk are despicable and to be avoided... unfortunately some slack-jawed, mindless, drooling brainless producer was bribed by 'NoNo' B*nk into including something that looked and sounded rather like him. The character was originally to be a hapless robot called 99Bnk*, but they decided to base it on NoNo' B*nk's real appearance."*A very small bon mot for our German speakers,

I was in there somewhere! I really enjoyed it, probably my favourite Warehouse Project so far, the lasers were out of this world. Aphex sped up his set, which I guess he needed to. Ended up in The Soup Kitchen for a few drinks afterwards.

amipal The warehouse project in Manchester is using old warehouse space for club/gig/art events. It's similar to what happened in Berlin after the wall came down. Clubs like Tresor opened in an abandoned powerplant. The Instagram poster is a Manchester based DJ/promoter. He is suggesting what is going on in MCR Is as good or better than Berlin. Capiche?
