I see the other place has got another list wrong this time it is "Aardman's 20 best films" No 1 should obviously be "The Wrong Trousers".

I'm having an online argument with O2. I can't work out if it's a human or a bot. I don't even fucking know if I'm a human or a bot. This is what my life has come to.
Better than I had any right to expect.

I'm beginning to suspect that Shwetal may be a bot. Especially since I asked them that question, and they replied 'No issues. I can sense this. In the urge to help you with resolution at the earliest. I am asking you related questions in short sentences.:

On the other hand, it's the most emotionally deep and spiritual conversation I've had since 1992, so it's pretty much a thumbs up from me.

The guests are enjoying an appetizer of raw oysters. The entree consists of boiled dog. " EDIT: That's not even a fucking question. Rachael should have told Deckard to get to the fucking question, or fuck the fuck off.

I just watched The Return of the king, again. Five stars. Whilst they are not the book (impossible to film in any complete sense), I think the trilogy is phenomenal; bits had me in tears; I never expected to weep for Gollum, but the sequence where Frodo and Sam are in Osgiliath and we see the utter despair in Gollum's face... that and Gollum's Song (not the fucking fish... ye ghods, more fish puns) show the chasm that lies before Gollum which he would have to cross to be redeemed ... and he realises that the gap is too wide. Genius

I thought the ending goes on far too long. I know that is authentically Tolkienian, but given they trimmed the scouring of the shire they could have trimmed more.
The death of Denethor wasn't handled well. I wanted him to be a little more sympathetic. How the great unbending lord is finally crushed by his inability to show affection and flexibility and to experience the feeling he was trapped in a hell of his own making. I felt that was present in the book, but not in the film. Also the thing was the beacon was spectacular, but made no sense. It made Denethor look something he wasn't supposed to be.
In retrospect you can see the creeping ego of Jackson beginning to appear in the third film. Before it comprehensively overwhelmed the Hobbit. It is just about in check in most of LOTR.

I'd still buy a 4K boxset* of The Hobbit and LOTR.
I'd sulk through the Sylvester McCoy bits in film 1, most of film 2 and almost all of film 3 though.
* possibly two if they release the extended editions separately. And why wouldn't they? I've just promised to pay twice if they double the tat.
