Off to work. It's wet.
I'd rather be at home playing The Division 2 in my pants.
BOTW. The Myahm Agana Apparatus trial can fuck right off. Going to try on the train with the joy-cons off. Just thought of that.

Woohoo! After waking up at 3am yesterday I've just slept for about 10 hours and still feel terrible! Top banana!
And five hours of back to back meetings scheduled!
Ganes! Drastically close to ordering That Dragon QUest. Or maybe Zelda. How is the Zelda?
Change here for services to West Runcorn.

I wished specific harm on whoever designed that puzzle. In the end I did it by tilting the switch at an angle so the entire platform is upside down. Wouldn't recommend trying that approach on a train though.

Hullo. I had some bad news late last night. Ergo, a bit pissed off today.
At least I'm not suffering from 'Bad Bollocks', or to put it in medical terms, Danglyscroteosaurus.

Yeah that's the one. Managed it first time this morning. Nearly burned the village down after though. Accidentally. Seem to have lost my torch and tried to light a cooking pot with the fire stick thing.

Morning
I am not at work. I should be halfway to Malta right now, but thanks to a certain travel firm going tits up, I am still in drizzly Norwich.
Managed to book a last minute deal to Tenerife for next week, however that doesn't get me home until 2 days after I'm expected back in the office. Do I give a toss? No.
Games! Yes! How I've missed thee.... losing my old hdd has meant I've also lost all my custom key bindings and controls for Elite. This nearly cost me big, while trying to take a screengrab, found a binding for boost and face planted into some giant purple crystal. Repair limpets to the rescue once again. Also forgot about fuel limits and managed to find myself out of range of my next scoopable star. By sheer fluke I happened to do this at a neutron star and so was able to use the FSD supercharge trick to quadruple the meagre fuel I had in order to make a desperate 5 light year jump to the next fuel star. I've only been away from the game 8 weeks and seem to have forgotten many of the basics.... this doesn't bode well for the 40000 light years away from the bubble I still am. Onwards.... one jump at a time..... steady as she goes....

The signature is not going well. I have failed in my task. The really complicated stuff went fine but when I involved HR to sign something and return it all went wrong.
Tv: Man in the High Castle and bloody Bake Off.
Games: None

The first rule of Elite is always, always find and disable the boost key, at least until you’ve got the landing gear key muscle memory dialled in.
I think on PS they have it defaulted as triangle + < and landing gear as square + < Pretty sure this is a form of trolling. Hello back of the station, my old friend!
The second rule of interminable space chat is don’t.
The third rule is ignore rule 2. Giant purple crystals?
I’m in the Norma Expanse right now and there’s balls all. No lagrange clouds (a-how-how-how-how), no xenos, no molluscs, naff all. I’m nebula hopping back to the bubble but might sack it off, straight line back and then see if I can get the Elite in trade. A nice bit of smuggling across the federal frontier, corrupt a few of those uptight militaristic bores.

The third rule is ignore rule 2. Giant purple crystals? yeah, found them in a Notable Stellar Phenomena..... looked like snowflakes, but suffered from Father Ted syndrome 'These are small, those are far-away'. Abosutely dwarfed my ship by the time I was close enough to scan them. Purpureus Metallic Crystals.
Found them in Joorai NI-K D8-163, but it's not worth the ride out here. Check out the codex for local Lagrange clouds and you may find some closer to you.

Games
Doom it probably came out about the time some of you were busy being born. Hmm
The PS4 version is pretty good The graphics aren't even terrible. It turns out I had only played Doom 2 in full.
I am playing it for the story and characterisation, not the mindless violence.
I have completed for first 3 parts of Doom and am back on earth for the final part. There are some bastard tough bits. I had to resort to quick saving at one point as a Baron of Hell was materialising between me and the health pack in an unhelpful manner.
For £4 it is pretty good.

It's raining Lagrange clouds round here. Technically they are Kordylewski clouds at Lagrange points.

I really need a dump. I'm not at my usual office, and the toilets here are windowless and straight off the corridor, with a high risk of noises and smells escaping, and my absence would be obvious to my minions. This is ungood.
That is all.

Very loudly announce that you're about to drop your guts, and that everyone within the blast radius is about to be in big trouble. Takes all the stress out of the situation.

This is ungood. That is all. Is there a spare meeting room with brown carpets? Preferably on a different floor? Or, in an emergency situation you could just squeeze it out at your desk, hold it in your trousers (I'm assuming you're wearing trousers), go to the photocopier and release it down the trouser leg behind said photocopier. Then, a quick 'Who's done this?'. Followed by 'Is this standard practice in this office?'. Your welcome.

Hello all. Chin up, MrTiddles. TVblog - Watched a few episodes of Disenchantment last night, and then, due to a very carb-heavy dinner, slept through half of the last one. This was followed by one of my top-ten TNG episodes, Yesterday's Enterprise. Amigablog - can I get my Mac to reliably write an Amiga-usable SD card? Can I shit. Errors all over the shop once it's on the real hardware. I've since managed to read and write the AmigaKit-supplied SD card on the Mac, and that seems to work fine. Not a clue what's wrong with the other ones. 🤔 Photoblog - first camera club competition of the season tonight. Open PDI - the worst possible competition.

Windowless toilet off a windowless corridor.
Are you in a police station basement?
Possibly in real life, possibly in Raccoon City*
*Yes I know Raccoon city is real life.

I genuinely would love to see some screen shots (of the scenic stuff... black space is something I can knock up in Paint... see below). In 2013, when I was being drawn into the despair and mire of 9 months of hospital and dying / not dying, as a pledge of faith for the future I put £400 into the Elite: Dangerous Kickstarter campaign - so somewhere out there you both may come across Cmdr Chumbles and/or Space Station Tafaille (an old friend of mine)... So pics just occasionally would be spiffing. You see, when I made the pledge I thought I would die or be cured; not so fucked up that I cannot play the game. I'm bloody lucky that my principal gaming love TBS I can still play pretty well.
