That's a great poem - the longest 'so are you putting out or what'? in English literature.

Scubar - I liked your post over at the other place but the page hadn't finished loading, which resulted in me accidentally clicking like on JBG's post instead. Clifton is a bit of a drive, so I'll do the decent thing and just walk into the sea instead

Morning all!
That's shite, Wolfy, hope it all works out.
Games blog
The news about the Dark Souls remaster made my day yesterday, so I am going to start playing Souls games again in preparation.
Personal statement writing, work and college tried to scupper that plan but it was all sorted out and continued to work through Souls 2.

Does Admin have an infinite supply of ‘days of the week’ pictures? Yes. You may have heard of it. It's called the internet.

Thanks people.
Ive been with the organisation for ten years. Started in the care side of things, moved to insurance.
The organisation doesnt want to lose my skills (they listed all the skills the say I have) and a couple of new positions may open up.
To be fair this may be the kick in the arse I needed to get a better job. I am over qualified for this one which was probably why I was good at it.
I fear change.

Ten years is enough anywhere Lonewolf. I had just about the best job in the world, but after nine years I was ready for change. Good luck.

How do you answer the where do you see yourself in 5 years question?
'Somewhere else, mate.'?
Jobs. No harm in looking.Well not unless you get caught and the current company decides never to promote you again while being the only place stupid enough to employ you.

How do you answer the where do you see yourself in 5 years question? 'Somewhere else, mate.'? It's best to ambitious and outline exactly kind of role you aiming for in 5 years. Such a role could well exist in your current company, it does not necessarily imply you will absconder after a couple of years.

LW and FB - sorry to hear that, sounds grim. I;ve had the same job for nearly 16 years, so am totally institutionalised and unfit for anything else (or just anything, really). No games for me last night, just a steak from MandS (meat, not cauliflower) and binge watching Brooklyn 99.

That's a great poem - the longest 'so are you putting out or what'? in English literature. Caelica (1633) Love is no true-made looking-glass Which perfect yields the shape we bring; It ugly shows us all that was, And flatters every future thing. Who worships Cupid doth adore a boy; Boys' earnest are at first in their delight, But for a new soon leave their dearest toy, And out of mind as soon as out of sight; Their joys be dallyings and their wealth is play, They cry to have and cry to cast away. In night when colours all to black are cast, Distinction lost, or gone down with the light; The eye — a watch to inward senses placed, Not seeing, yet still having power of sight — Gives vain alarums to the inward sense. Three things there be in man's opinion dear, Fame, many friends, and fortune's dignities: False visions all, which in our sense appear, To sanctify desire's idolatry. More stuff from my boy Fulke Greville, 1st Baron Brooke.

Lone, Faceless, that sounds crap.
On Sunday and again this morning I caught Florence's Sad Song (from The Magic Roundabout) on Desert Island Discs (Charlie Brooker). It's really quite something. Worth a listen.

Morning all. Sorry to hear about the various dire circumstances doing the rounds. I got in from camera club at the yes-I-really-am-starting-to-feel-that-old time of 10:30pm, but due to a half an hour drive, was in no way ready to hit the sack. So I stayed up another fifty minutes with some rum and some YouTube vids. Competition-wise, I got 20/20 for Lonely Station, and 18/20 for Royal Albert Hall. That last one was a big surprise, as I've clearly cut the stage in half...

Ooh, I like poetry blog. John Wilmot, Earl of Rochester, about Nell Guin:
[Typed out and then deleted, as it's too filthy. I couldn't bring myself to press create post on that. Definitely NSFW.]
It's one of the few poems I can remember by heart. I think I should apologise for the use of the word whore. It's not a very nice word, and I would usually avoid it.

Morning, My leather jacket has arrived. It makes me feel a bit conspicuous, but hopefully in a good way. Played a bit more of the broken bum last night, I'm getting near the end now I think. It's a definite 4* affair. I've got a couple of hours to burn in Edinburgh tomorrow, and I'm thinking of going to a pub on my own. Is this an acceptable thing to do?
