I've been to the pub once on my own. I bought a newspaper specifically so that I had something to do.

Dinner chat!
Vegetable soup that is on the go at the moment. With crusty bread. There is houmous/hummus and other toppings for the bread if desired. I could shove a pizza in the oven as well as Asda seem to have delivered 3 pizzas by mistake in addition to our delivery.

Pyjakson - why would you have reservations about going to the pub on your own? It's much better than going with other people I imagine it would be, I've just never done it before. I'm also meeting someone later and I'm worried the lack of conversation will have me drinking at three times the usual speed without me realising it. It sounds like you've been doing drinking with other people wrong. Classic error. Always ignore other people's wittering if it starts to slow down your drinking speed.

Just sat waiting at the Chinese for my takeaway. They usually make you wait 20 minutes to half an hour here but it's always great food.
The temperature has really dropped now here in Sheffield and the plan tomorrow is to sneak into town and a grab a new game (which will probably be Skyrim again).

Have you never bothered with Forza? Always thought it was ok the few times I'd played it.

Evenin' all.
Anyone else had the website hijacked by spam? Seems to have stopped now. Destry not paying the bills?
Wolfy and Faceless: what a start into the new year. Hopefully it's either a false alarm or a change for the better.
Weird day today, most of it spent feeling dizzy. Didn't want to lie down, somehow managed to carry on through the day. Not sure what caused it; had blood pressure checked yesterday and that was fine. Maybe it's the effect of the dizzying heights of Guardian commentatorship. No mass amnesty for Chatterboxers as far as I know, btw. I'm still in premod.

Anyone else had the website hijacked by spam? I've not noticed any problems. Then again, I've not been using the mobile site.

Thanks people. Ive been with the organisation for ten years. Started in the care side of things, moved to insurance. The organisation doesnt want to lose my skills (they listed all the skills the say I have) and a couple of new positions may open up. To be fair this may be the kick in the arse I needed to get a better job. I am over qualified for this one which was probably why I was good at it. I fear change. I've been in a similar situation a few times, it's shit, but does offer some opportunities (although I have no children to look after). First start looking for other jobs now. If there are others with similar qualifications, in the same area as you, get the jump on them. Also redundancy payments, coupled with a new job, can get the mortgage paid off quick style.

Thanks people. I've been with the organisation for ten years. Started in the care side of things, moved to the don't care side of things. I hope you don't mind me fixing that for you. I think most of us on here work in the not caring professions.

Last day of Big(gish) Paper tomorrow. The G is going tabloid from Monday BigG-ish, that's fine. I'd never thought I'd go tabloid.

Anyone else had the website hijacked by spam? I've not noticed any problems. Then again, I've not been using the mobile site. It's Tent Hen's own fault. Every time the nice technical internet support people call her to try to fix it, she accuses them of trying to rip her off and running a scam.
