Evening all.
Nights tonight and tomorrow, finishing at 06:00 on Christmas Day. Not great but, given the Christmas' some of you are having, I feel it's not so bad. At least I get to skip all the Christmas dinner prep anyway (as I'll be asleep).
Aim for tonight (aside from keeping all your central heating on) is to get Xenoblade finished.

Hope Chumbles has a good Christmas. NHS at Christmas and with whatever the wonderful Tories have in plan for it isn't fun, it's the people doing the best but having no help.
Also good luck to who ever else was having scans, it seemed a bigger effort to get a job in the NHS when overqualified as a scientist.

I agree with stxdpr & Conchord. I hope Chumbles gets through the misery of the Xmas season, but I also wish I didn't have to deal with 7 feral children (and now I've been told 3 MASSIVE dogs). I didn't sign up for that. Still, there's always Freddy to sort them out. I can see it now:- 'Next time you headbutt me in the balls*...I'll show you me bubo..'. * One of the little fuckers once did this, he even took a run up down the hallway to do it. It's payback time. Star Wars 9 review.
The incels were right, it's really bad. Like one of the prequels with better effects. Terrible dialogue, jaw droppingly incoherent non-story, bad acting except for Emo Vader. Made worse by my daughter waking me up every 5 minutes to register incredulity.

This morning features a visit to a garden centre, and then a trip to Sheffield Park. Good to get out.
Gamesblog - a quick go on Project X at lunch. I managed to get further on the first level than I've ever recalled getting before. It is a tricky game.
OTTM- jet-washed the lower patio in the afternoon. So much green sludge... but now we have clean slate out there. 4*

I have a house full of booze and food. Perhaps all the booze and food. Been playing games since mid afternoon. Bit of RDRD2 and now Resident Evil 2. Screen starting to get a bit blurry. I plan on hibernating now until 6th Jan.

I also had a £10 EGS voucher so paid a total of £7.49 for Metro Exodus which is downloading now, at 2.5 MBS for some reason so it will take a few hours.
Anyhoo, I am actually quite angry with how bad Star Wars was, I am not saying I could have done better but everything non-Star Wars related that J J Abrams has done has been good, so I don't understand why he dropped the ball so badly here.

Good job I got in early on the cheap Xmas cards. Some of them will double up for Chinese New Year as well. It's not until about the 25th of January this year (or, rather, next year), so your joke is rather stretched. Also, you're making a joke about foreign national prisoners in China being used effectively as slave labour. Given the concerns about mass human rights abuses in China, it's a bit off. Ha!
