I continued slow progress through Pillars of Eternity. Mostly this is due to endless loading screens.

I reached Raedrick. I have had far too much of listening to sob stories so I decided to kill him*. Several goes later I have beat a hasty retreat and will go back later when I have powerful friends.
This seems to happen with every boss even though I am playing about 4 levels down from the hardest.

* I did not like his hanging tree. Even if he is cursed by a God he can treat his villagers better than that.

There are a number of enemies in the Uncharted games who can only be defeated in hand to hand combat. It does not matter how many times you shoot them.
Plus the South African  mercs are double hard bastards. You can't kill them by blowing their brains out. 

Games: AoW3... Gollu the Goblin Necromancer run - that's the current avatar. Don't be tempted guys, she likes to trap her prey, steal the life from them and have them act as her cannon fodder. Oh, and she's dead... I'm taking a break from NP2; just too unwell to play it properly - I made some bleary, morphine hazed eyed 3 am terminal mistakes ...

Health: continues badly, but having learnt the horrible story of a surgeon who went to bed with a whisky and a couple of paracetamol... his wife rang him 7 hrs later and he was speaking gibberish. Now for most of you this would be commonplace, but for a practicing vascular surgeon not so good; he was eventually rushed into hospital where his legs were amputated. He's just gone back to work on his prosthetic legs.... It's unfortunate that his surname is Hopper.

I've had four trips into A&E, the ICU, so I count myself bloody fortunate to have fought my way through all of them and retained my lower limbs. Only problem now is recovering and calming my goddamn peptic ulcer down. Lost 3 stone in 10 weeks so on the bright side I am no longer a fat bap. My grocery order now includes protein drinks. I really do not want to go into hospital ... treatment in half an hour ;/

TVblog - Midnight Diner.

Gamesblog - I went island-hopping to grab a merchant. He was not easily found...
In the process, I dug up a lot of gold.
I also befriended a cow, though I think the monsters got to her.

OTTM - I had some sort of miso-aubergine-thing for dinner. I am not a fan of aubergines.

Parcelforce delivery - day 2. Put up a note on the main entrance with instructions and keeping vigil near the front door. Tracking it through “my parcel live” which is presumably going to give me live footage of it being throne in the hedge.

Rome 2 DEI - took transalpine Gaul. Sicily and north Africa is a series of factions all waiting for it to kick off.

Last night I watched the latest sweet, sweet amipal content where he got mis-sold an RAF Tornado as an F-14 Tomcat and crashed several planes, some of them on the runway. Pity that the flood and the plague took him from us.

Games: no spoilers what my next big project is on the Isle of Awakening. I've started working on it and I can say that it involves turning a large patch of desert steppe into a mysterious northern forest. It's probably going to look nowhere like that, but I have a grand vision. 

I also had a grand vision for the roofs of my buildings but it never quite works out. Still, a roof is better than no roof and it looks okay. I also fulfilled another tablet target by accident when I knocked out two blocks that I meant to replace, thus registering two adjacent spaces briefly as one room. I'll take that, thank you very much.

I had designed a nice space for my community bell, but hadn't thought about all the residents crowding around it. Turns out that what I've got there is far too small and all my monsters are now stuck in a tiny room, making it impossible for me to enter and fix this problem. Oops.

I also built a chapel for my nuns so that they can stop bitching about having nowhere to pray. My residents have only just stopped starving and forcibly holding back their bowel movements and already they are having First World problems.
