What are you up to...?

What am I up to? Why, thank you for asking.
Food: I made excellent daal. I genuinely think I'm getting as good as a chef in a second rate southeastern Balti house.
Alcohol: a couple of decent ales in the pub, and a large Leffe at home.
Dog: met him in the pub. We had fun. I sometimes think the humans in the pub think I'm a bit unfriendly, just because I prefer Dog.
Music: on shuffle. Tainted Love was a highlight. Also China in Your Hand, and some 6 Day Riot. That Someone is You from REM's Collapse into Now is ungood.
Books: some Norman Nicholson, and some sci-fi. I still can't face Rachel Cusk yet.

Morning all! Up this early on a Saturday? Not good.
Shenguin: That Someone Is You is a good album filler.
Crank: some of the Amiga demo scene stuff is incredible.

The best thing about the Amiga was x copy, at a time when most in school were paying £40 odd for a game us Amiga owners were copying loads every week. Games wise for me the Amiga was all about the footy games, Premier Manager 2, Champ Manager and Sensible World of Soccer.

The child woke at 05.50. I got to bed after gaming hour at 01.15
I'm not at my best this morning. She'll complain of being tired mid morning. I will sob and break any toy she happens to be holding*
Obviously I'll just sob.

Morning,
Last night we started watching Peaky Blinders, but it strikes me as just a regular Saturday night at your local Wetherspoons.
I also reached Mt. Eldin, identified where I've got to go for the next trials and read Daruk's training journal. Progress. I also visited one of the Great Fairies, and, thankfully, the Champions' armour can be upgraded. So far I've only got the helmets of each set, but unfortunately I need more giant ancient cores for the final upgrade. If that's the case for every piece of armour that's going to be a real struggle due to their rarity.

I managed to hang on until 7am before I woke up crying. Then I remembered it was a Saturday, so I read for a bit and fell asleep again. I woke again game 11am. Unalloyed comfort and relaxing indulgence. Bliss.
I am so glad I changed my name and moved, so my ex and 4 kids don't know where I live.

[br @wetherspoons - I have never been to a spoons where the clientele have been so sharply dressed! It's a good show, abit over rated though I reckon, it's style of substance. But what style. @zelda - picked it up again? I have been away from it for some time.. I'm not sure why, but getting tempted to start it up. I've still only taken down one guardian so alot to go. I've been playing MO instead, collecting moons- I like it but it's definitely second best to BOTW

Just had my "big shit after the curry the night before". I have also obtained permission to have a few hours down the pub so I am out the door in a flash.

This morning's rain has now turned into thick snow. I'm not going outside. Gaming was invented for weekends like this. @zelda - picked it up again? I have been away from it for some time.. I'm not sure why, but getting tempted to start it up. I've still only taken down one guardian so alot to go. I've been playing MO instead, collecting moons- I like it but it's definitely second best to BOTW I still have quite a few moons to find in MO, but I've put it aside for now because I'm working my way towards the motorbike in the Champions' Ballad DLC. I could just fast-travel to the locations involved, but I've found it more interesting to walk everywhere wearing the Korok mask to alert me to any Koroks I had overlooked so far and with the Sheikah sensor set to find treasure chests. I've already spent a lot of time with the game, but I'm still finding new things all the time, and I'm still enjoying the gorgeous environments and vistas. The amount of content in this game is astonishing. I've got Skyrim sitting on my shelf as the next game, but it's got to wait a bit longer. How long is it going to take me to finish that? My backlog is not going to diminish any time soon.

Afternoon all,
Some stovies and more FF9 after yesterday's abandoned attempt at eating out. Alao watched idiocracy last night. Great film and one to add to the list of films with lesser known siblings in a lead role. ****
Now on the bus in for a day of boozing and karaoke.

I just unscrewed the pepper grinder, refilled it with peppercorns, then picked it up to screw the top back on.
That's when the bottom fell out, together with the refill.
Oh well, it's not as if I had just swept the kitchen floor. Oh wait, I had. Sigh.
Mr Enemy, on the other hand, had a bit of good news: his pension fund only has a deficit of £5bn (as opposed to a rumoured £17bn). Sign of the times that this is being heralded as good news.

Looking after the boy solo, as his mum is up in that there London.
He's slept for two hours, which meant two hours of gaming. Boom.
