Buonasera, Faceless jnr is with the in-laws for the night, and I'm at a 40th birthday party in a pub I used to drink in as a teenager. It's.....What's the opposite of good? Un-good? I aim to get gloriously drunk in the hope that it will improve things.

Skyrim: the main plot can be blasted through quite quickly. The game only comes into it's own with full immersion, then it's a real time sink. I say this as someone who has played through Skyrim as all races and genders. I can't even

Switching the router off for an hour and tricking the internet into coming back on eh. Just as we're about to watch TV. Hopefully gaming hour is rescued for later.
Just played the 'death from above' mission in the modern warfare re-rub. Never got this far on the pc. The comments on the comms remind me of stuff you get on wikileaks videos from Iraq. Dunno how that got ignored and the russian airport terrorist mission got all the flak.

You weren't lurking very well if you don't know the "your welcome" thang... Edit: actually, isn't it normally put after a genuine correction? But welcome was spelled incorrectly... Right is left, left is up... I'm confused. Damn you shengus! Ah netiquette and pedantry, not a minefield at all. Let's not get into the your vs you're debate.... it could either blow up or be some kind of damp squid! I blame Shenguin, he started it I think you mean mindfield, not minefield. Your welcome.

On the train back from roughly 8 rounds in Edinburgh. I feel like I should keep drinking, but that would mean heading out on my own in my town. Not that I haven't before, mind.

I love the way they turn into backing dancers when there are songs from other artists.
And when they're not taking part, they're sat at the bar.

Evening. Dinner: Chicken, leek and bacon, topped with cheese, with pasta. Drink: Chilean Merlot with food, Whisky for afters. No Freddie Frinton levels, but mellowness. Washing Up: still to be done. Games backlog: Oxenfree was on sale. I take it you'd recommend the DLC then! Would you suggest it's best buying now? I reckon the korok mask would make my life much easier if you can get it early on. I'm conflicted on the DLC. Certainly worth the price of admission. The Champions' Ballad is more of the same, with more story - always welcome - and some interesting twists. If you like different costumes (and I do) it's good value, although I really wish they could be upgraded (they can't). What conflicts me is that the quality of life features plus the hard mode should have been included in a free update to the base game. Personally I used the tracking feature for where I'd been on the map a lot, found that the 'travel medallion' for creating fast travel points came in handy from time to time, but didn't use the Korok mask much at all until now because I always felt that Koroks were easy enough to find without extra help. What I'm finding in Koroks atm are either fairly obvious ones in places I didn't investigate closely or extremely obscure ones. I might have completionist tendencies but I've no intention to collect them all.

Anytime I do it, I'm warned that it's a "tough pub" and then I'm asked if I'm gay. The other part I can understand, but it's not even that tough a pub...

Just home from my night out. Relevant lessons learnt
- Glaswegians don't wash their hands after using the toilet (advised of this and seen on multiple occasions) - regardless of whether you can carry a tune in a bucket, songs by the proclaimers or del amitri are the ones to sing at karaoke. - late night buses are full of scumbags (as I'm too cheap to get a better class of transport that means I'm a scumbag). - super tennis is a game.
Edit: the star wars films are a series of fantasy films and don't hold up well to logical evaluation. If you're questioning the logic behind them you should probably watching films like the Andromeda strain instead.

The night buses are not quite as bad as the late ones. But take forever. I spent £25 on a taxi last year and realised about half way home it was following the night bus which costs £2.50 or something.
The hand washing thing that's disgusting. A Glaswegian phenomenon? Wouldn't like to say. Was this in the horseshoe karaoke by any chance? if so I'm not surprised.

Has anyone seen my sleep? I lost it at about 4am and haven't seen it since. I definitely had it last night, but then it just kind of went missing. Still, the cricket's good.
Good hand hygiene is important, but requires a clean sink and a clean effective method of drying hands (if you're not drying thoroughly you're probably better off not washing). Many men's toilets don't come up to standard, especially at football grounds, less salubrious pubs and public conveniences. I keep my Johnson clean, and my Mother taught me not to piss on my hands, so I shan't be overly perturbed if feculent loos dissuade hand-washing, so long as I haven't touched anything.
