We can't book a supermarket delivery slot or even a click and collect anymore. It has begun. We will be hunting cats for food by the end of the week. I haven't been able to book a delivery for 3 weeks.

No need for that trap. I had many cats at my door and windows asking to come in as they think that it looks like a nice place for a feline.
I can do without having to order cat food and cleaning the kitty litter right now.

Funnily enough, Ocado opened up for me yesterday, able to book a delivery for tonight. I got Vodka, Rum (both kinda), nine bottles of wine and a bottle of Kahlua.

Wow DOOM (2016) is a looong game, a bit too looong. Another 3h last night took me in and out of hell again, I killed a big bad suit of armour that was controlled by a demon worm thing, then another two at the same time straight after, it was carnage. Now Im setting free some force ghosts that look like templar knights, not sure why but its necessary.
I think I must be close to the end now and can look forward to escaping RL to a new Hell in DOOM Eternal.

Hi
I'm sat in my deck chair in the garden. It's a beautiful warm day. Bees and butterflies a plenty.
I can see my lap top through the patio door, so technically I am working. Sweet.
More TLOU remastered last night. The guy who I got the penicillin from to give to Joel tracked me down and came back with a million goons. Hectic times.
OTTM, I'm concerned about my booze supply. I need to aim for Cobblers levels of booze.

Booze chat, I'm really unused to drinking in the house, more of a pub guy last few years, it'll be a voyage of rediscovery.

Waiting for Nursey. Try all the supermarkets - Morrisons' deliveries are from warehouses that aren't open to the great unwashed, so after you've done your order you can be reasonably confident you'll get your stuff...
Tesco's is a pig because folk denude the shelves between you ordering and the delivery. I never know what I will get, but I do know it will never be loo rolls. Their high muckamuck tells me they're looking after the elderly... by reserving 8-9 a.m for them and NHS staff. The subtext is fuck the housebound and disabled ... but it can take several hours to secure your delivery. Persevere

Sainsbury's are doing "...elderly, vulnerable or disabled customers." only delivery if that helps.

Hello. I am still alive. For how long though, unsure. I'm out of proper food and must brave the mildly warm wilds to forage at Sainsbury's and / or Waitrose later. Ganes: Took down the Stormbird mission and a few sidequests / errands last night in Dinobots. Not enough power cells for the sweeeeeeet power armour though. Over-levelled to fcuk now, any bandit camps are destroyed in a heartbeat. Being OP has its benefits. OTTM: 25Mbps down, 4.6 up. OTTRM: I have no booze in the house, which is both a good and terrible thing right now. OTTRRM: You lot are all significantly better read than I.

This is the worst skiing holiday I’ve ever been on, it’s like being stuck in my back garden. Still, at a quick count I’ve got about 40 beers, 20 bottles of wine, 6 bottles of fizz and and indeterminate amount of spirits. I’m a bit worried that my extra 2 cases of wine aren’t going to turn up, mind you, and I’m feeling that smashing into the champagne at the moment is possibly a little decadent. I’m not hoarding, it’s not going to last long enough to count as hoarding. On Monday* morning I expect to find myself languishing on a heap of empties, weeping. *Wednesday. The wine turned up fine. Don't worry

As the work laptop is on a go slow I’ve just been doing me some research and find that my favourite brewery* is doing free local delivery. Another 24 CWBs? Can’t hurt. Just doing my bit.
*Moor Beer. Slogan: “Drink Moor Beer!”

After Shenguin's recommendation I read a sample of the first book in the "The Alex Verus* series by Benedict Jacka", it was quite good, though I'd say it is very similar to Jim Butcher** rather than Pratchett/Mieville unless that changes later. * Which in my head I keep pronouncing it Versus. **With a touch of Simon R Green's Nightside books.

33 Mbps here, according to the Which speed checker. Morning! I went and panic bought 4 bottles of beer last night and it freaked me out. There was one other person in the shop, and she still managed to walk within inches of me about 5 times. The cashier was not wearing gloves. There were squads of teenagers roaming the streets. Hell of a situation. Google search engine - type in 'check my internet speed' and this should give you a general speed regardless of your provider. I'm currently at 63 Mbps download and 16 Mbps upload, not bad for an urban environment.

Yeah, probably. I haven't read a whole lot of fiction like that, and I was more contrasting than comparing. I also pronounce it Versus most of the time.
