Where do you lot host images to show on here? Imgur, it's free and you can copy the BBCode and paste it directly in the BBCode tab and then adjust size if needed. Yes, Imgur. Are you going to show off some sweet DQB2 building projects?

Camera club porn. No doubt in my mind.
He's going to discuss apertures and exposure times with Shenguin.
Photographing the end of the world using 35mm film an f/4 aperture and 1/32 of a second exposure. Best hope it happens at dawn or sunset on a nice day.

Sunset is probably better as you can develop the film in the cold dark almost immediately.

I'm sure it was a genuine question. It's what you plan now you have the answer I'm concerned about.

Don't be more stupid than you need to be. This is up there with Jon Hendricks’ “It’s a wise man that knows how to quit when he’s behind” which, incidentally, is written into my will as a suggested epitaph.

My favourite tweet of the week was when i mentioned my father being a retired NHS psychiatrist and someone replied saying "I remember your dad. He sectioned my mother-in-law. Lovely man"

I have a cousin who was sectioned more than once. She suffers from paranoia brought on by a combination of brain tumours, treatment and anti-epilepsy drugs. It's a sad and lengthy tale of slow yet steady decline since 1996. She's only 4 years older than me, but has been in residential care since 2012. My aunt, her mother, has also been sectioned. This was partly due to depression brought on by the stress of the above combined with some age related brain changes. She had ECT which dramatically helped. I did not know this before but ECT is mostly used to treat women in their 70s with depressive illnesses. She is much better, but will never be the same person as before. I have other tales of sick relatives. None of them are bundles of fun. Neither the relatives, nor the tales. My strong advice is to retain your physical and mental health.

Section 5 is the easiest. Emergency 72 hours for assessment. There are lots of other orders possible depending on the problem.

Yeah, It was more of the Les Dawson 'mother in law' thing that tickled me, unintentional I'm sure. Often, sectioning is the best outcome for many peeps - they get the care and attention which they can't provide for themselves. It is a chance to re-calibrate.

In my case it was my mother, though there were underlying conditions the main reason that it happened was alcohol and mental abuse by my father, she was in hospital* for 3 or 4 weeks. All it took was a psychiatrist and the old man's agreement and that was that. Things didn't change much initially but they got better later on. I've always had a problem with psychiatrists since then since they seem to treat people how the average person should react/behave rather than the actual problem**. Also this is probably TMI and I'm not trying to compete with anyone but I'm with McWatt. *Amusing story I had just started working in said hospital as a summer job so visiting was easy. **I know that they do help people, I am only talking from personal experience. <edit>Stabilised rather than better.
