My brilliant, successful, genius of a very wealthy elder brother was very helpful provided you did exactly what he said; if you didn't, he was an utter bastard. He was avaricious, cheated at games* - he worshipped his wife**, his cars and his money. He could never understand why I persisted in taking jobs I enjoyed doing, rather than going for the big paypacket. Chalk and cheese *You can probably tell that I utterly despised that; his IQ was off the measurable scale, but he would still reposition a piece on the Chess board. **Miss Trinidad runner up, beautiful, kindly woman

Siblings eh? I've just pissed my sister off as I rejected a birthday present idea for the child. What's app is so handy.

Cheddar and coleslaw sandwich, pack of cheesy puffs, chocolate hob nob (x3).
Janes, downloaded that Dirt Rally 2 that was free the other month. Two races, two DNFs due to damages, deleted.
OTTM, need my barnet cutting but no way I'm doing a Destry and letting my children do it.

OTTM, need my barnet cutting but no way I'm doing a Destry and letting my children do it. Actually it turned out surprisingly well considering she'd never cut hair before. As you can see from the pic, I'm missing my left ear but that's a small price to pay.

I behaved like a little shit towards my poor older brother. I feel bad about it but now we are best friends. It helps that I haven't tried poking him in the eye for a while (I had watched the Three Stooges and was an inquisitive child).
I spent the morning explaining Animal Crossing on WhatsApp, interesting challenge. The accessories for the Switch arrived this morning (console to follow on Tuesday) and I've had an email indicating that the kids' trampoline is about to be dispatched, much earlier than anticipated. Consumerism is a warm comfort blanket (next day delivery from Jeff available).
As I was getting the milk and taking out rubbish a young woman walked past, the first person I've seen wearing a face mask in real life during this crisis. Being detached and isolated like this from the outside world feels really weird.
Just agreed with Pref. Mam. that his Destry moment will come tomorrow. The clippers are charged and ready. For him it's not only the hair on his head (of which he hasn't much anyway) but mainly the beard. My description of his current state is wuschelig.
Having currently run out of episodes of Midsomer Murders to watch and whilst waiting for a new episode of Killing Eve, I was surprised when Pref. Mam. asked whether we could watch another Ghibli film. Clearly the training is paying off. So we watched one half of Princess Mononoke with the second half planned for tonight. He likes it but then who doesn't? Of course I was making the predictable quip about the enemy being mostly 'armless. Sometimes I can't help myself.
Unlike Crank I haven't hit the May challenge in AC:NH yet as Nook's Cranny was closed for renovation. This resulted in pressure on my inventory space as I did a lot of fishing and insect hunting to get as many of the new May species as possible into the museum. I also realised that I can't move things around much if the Nooklings aren't open. Looking forward to playing later.
Oh, and I with a heavy heart I made the decision of letting Reneigh go in favour of Diana. Really wished that one could just boot out a more recent resident like Curly who I don't dislike as such but there's only so many Jock islanders I can take. Sorry Reneigh, but Diana visited the campsite and she and I go way back in New Leaf where she was one of the villagers who stayed with me from the beginning until many years later when I stopped playing. I got genuinely upset when in a letter she accused me of only pretending to like her house. After that we became close friends and I gave her many catchphrases containing deer puns through the years.
Oh deer.

I sometimes genuinely can't tell which bits are irl and which are AC. Though I can tell that Tent Hen has a warm and loving hart.

Repost from yestertag: I don't know whether it's always like that with twins ( amipal probably has an opinion) but these two are extremely competitive for food, attention, and affection (in that order). Not easy to live with. To be honest, I never felt any real competition with my brother for anything. But then I've never known what life is like growing up as an only-child or having older/younger siblings! To me, it was normal. Not very helpful, I know! Maybe you were too young to remember that phase? One of them was recently very pleased with himself when he climbed the ladder of their little plastic slide, sat down at the top and then went down the slide. Pleased with himself not only because he was able to do this completely without help but in the knowledge that his brother hadn't figured out how to do it. Yet.

I was thinking it's a good time to be a burglar as at the moment no one can touch you so you could just walk into peoples houses and nick their stuff.

Fortunately we do not score many goals. These include a significant attempt at strangling at Bolton in 2014. While someone else hit me in the head. In his defence I was attempting to crush his ribs at the time. It is not as bad as the old terraces. Which were like a mosh pit on a steep slope. With added steel barriers. And populated with people who got their fun through significant street violence. Fantastic times though. It's a good job Steve Whitton did not score very often Even so by 16 I knew enough to fully understand that a steel barrier is not your friend.

Sheep walks into a pub with his dog just as the football scores come on the TV. The announcer says that the Blues have lost 3-0 and the dog immediately rolls over on its back, sticks its paws in the air and plays dead. "That's amazing," says the barman, "what does he do when they win?" Sheep scratches his head for a couple of minutes and finally replies, "I dunno... I've only had him eight months."

After watching my son run down a hill, through long grass (while holding his hat), I've decided to watch Raiders of the Lost Ark tonight.
