Sky just showed Alastair Cooks last ever test innings, at the Oval. He got a ton, obviously. What a run machine. I've only been to the Oval once, and I also saw a ton then. Day 1 of the 5th ashes test from THAT series in 2005. On day 1, Strauss got a ton, flintoff got 60ish (I think) and Warne got a fivefer, maybe 6. What a player the bleached ozzy was, GOAT. Ponting brought him on after an hour of day 1. Unbelievable, Jeff. I had a Pavillion seat, only 10 rows back. Glen Mcgrath was fielding on the boundary, getting loads of stick. It was a few days (weeks?) after the socceroos had beaten England's golden shower at footy, he gave loads back to the crowd, top bloke. Cool story etc Very cool story actually. Were you the one throwing strawberries at Shane Warne?

No, twas not me. My packed lunch was sandwiches, sausage rolls and a Matteson smoked sausage. Plus 4 cans of Ruddles You were still allowed 4 beers then (or one bottle of wine) into the ground. They'd all gone by lunch. It was also hot, maybe 25 degrees+.

More cricket chat (oh do fuck off, Tuffers)
There was a great vlogpodcastblah thingy on sky cricket today (may have been a repeat, but was definitely quarantine time). Goughie, Alec Stewart, Hussain and Key. Great watch, would recommend, 4 stars.
Everyone agreed with what I said at the time. Alec Stewart should have been an opener and that's it. No faffing around with the gloves.

Do any of you hold conversations in your head and then get annoyed when you lose an argument to yourself?
Asking for a friend.
