Turns out my neighbour was the one who bought Faceless's leaf blower. My neighbour is of course far too considerate to let it run for more than 20 minutes. At stupid o'clock right underneath my bedroom window. P.S. I hope Chumbles's tooth is better. When he was small and still living in the US the Pref. Mam. was taken to a sadistic dentist like the one Steve Martin plays, only with added racism on top. Lovely. |

I think they did hear the shots. "One Fox News correspondent said they’d heard two shots fired soon before Trump was hurried out." I mean it is the Guardian reporting on Fox News so god only knows how many times it has been twisted. Also I was thinking more of after it is over. Once everything is safe, you start to relax and the adrenalin surge of the crisis is gone. People definitely say odd things.  Or not |

I have nothing to add to the topic except that I misread "US Secret Service uniformed division officer" as "US Secret Service uninformed division officer". I apologise to the officer, in case he reads this. Clearly I needed more coffee at the time. The secret service wear uniforms? |

P.S. I hope Chumbles 's tooth is better. Slightly, although its pain being controlled by morphine is not the happiest method. The swelling has reduced slightly, but the real test comes in 15m when the nurses arrive to torture treat me. To be fair it's hot for me but much worse for them. It doesn't seem to register that getting here in the early morning would be a much better time for them |

I've been trying to work out how to use the integrated coffee maker in our new kitchen, it turns on but seems to be trying to tell me I need to put water in it. There are no visible orrificex into which I can put wet however.
I'll figure it out eventually. Roiling hot expressos for all!

Morning Amipal. I watched 'Once Upon a Time in Iraq' last night. Unfortunately it was episode 5/5, but, by crikey, there's some dodgy footage in there. Grim. I'll try and catch up with the others on iplayer. I'm glad someone else is watching it. I'd say "enjoy!" but I don't think that's the correct word for it. |

Unfortunately the innards are not in particularly clean order, and the previous tenant has left a load of old coffee beans in it from pre-lockdown Britain. A project for the weekend perhaps.
