The bastard slides out! Unfortunately the innards are not in particularly clean order, and the previous tenant has left a load of old coffee beans in it from pre-lockdown Britain. A project for the weekend perhaps. RTFM* *assuming one exists.

I'm glad someone else is watching it. I'd say "enjoy!" but I don't think that's the correct word for it. 'ave a butchers at this footage (it's a Vulcan bomber). Marvellous. www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Wemyw-5czUPhwoar! Loved seeing the Vulcan fly. Surprisingly manoeuvrable for an aeroplane of both its size and age. This is the best shot I got of it when it was still flying. edit: she did come in low at the Eastbourne air show...

This is the best shot I got of it when it was still flying. edit: she did come in low at the Eastbourne air show... I was at a charity event in the late '90s, before the last Vulcan got it cert of airworthyness. It was at an airfield in Kent (I think). It did a power run down the runway. As competitors*, myself and my mate were allowed close to the Vulcan. PRO TIP Do not stand any where near the back of a Vulcan when it fires it's engines up. You will not like it. At all. Hairy. *It was some supercar thing, he had a Lambo.

Google seems to have improved their algorithms; even though I received and replied to them previously, I've just discovered old invites to Neptune's Pride from a certain boxer in my junk mail. Sorry for ignoring your emails Chumbles , Larry doesn't think I should play.

Sorry for ignoring your emails Chumbles , Larry doesn't think I should play. Larry is probably right! I do check my Junk folders, mainly as a source of amusement. But I did find an interesting 'renewal' notice from Pango for a single device Hotspot Shield VPN. I'd uninstalled it last year - it was far more trouble than it was worth and told them so. And last week I got an email in my junk telling me that they were renewing it because I'd agreed to autorenew. And an additional 15 devices bumping it up by £50. On their website I couldn't cancel either. So I've blocked the DD and told them in polite terms to fuck off.

I think I’m going to use “The bastard slides out” for the title of my autobiography.
An incandescent trip through the life of Terry Dakyl, centered around the days and weeks that he made the life changing discovery that the coffee maker slid out, and providing previously unprecedented insight into the life of a Swaffham business magnate turned coffee maker sliding instructor to the Royals.

Here's Trump's contribution to the earlier discussion about whether to give him the benefit of the doubt
Edit: I've just watched a segment on this on the US "Morning Joe" show. The host compares it to Joseph Stalin not realising that Holland and the Netherlands were the same country after he had invaded it. There's no hope for these Yanks.

crankcaller - speaking for a friend, if he were to go for a VPN, what would you recommend for a muppet whose knowledge of internet architectures and threats was last up-to-date in 19-numpty-numpty? Preferably lightweight on system resources... And covering 4 pcs and 2 android phones ...

My uncle was ground crew for the Vulcan during the Falklands. He was only relatively recently allowed to talk about the fact the nukes were pretty much ready to go.

Hello
I have been sitting outside in the dark, hoping to catch a glimpse of the Percy Pig meteor shower. Unfortunately low cloud and the neighbours' security lights switching on and off at a sparrow's fart means no luck so far.
I will persevere for a while (at least long enough to finish my gin and tonic)
As you were.
