I watched the Director's cut of Das Boot (subtilted) on Blu ray over the weekend Plus 3 hours of documentaries finishing last night. Nearly 7 hours n total Recommended. I am now ready to watch the modern TV series.. I've also got a DVD of the original series which is longer than the Directors' cut. The social bubble is far too close and too large. Apart from that it is an ideal film for paranoid times. I have been on a submarine (HMS Vanguard, for Amipal there). It was very cramped, and that was with most of the equipment ripped out of it for refit. Can’t imagine spending 6 months on one. something something sex worker something something

It's absolutely fantastic, a strong recommend. I had the Xbox version before and that was very smooth and playable too. Along with Titanfall 2 it is the best game of this generation for me. Cheers, I'll pop out in a mo' and blow six squids on it.

Technically I stole the antybody joke. It is mine now though.
Shenguin It's easily a top 5 ant joke. I will not have it dissed just so you can repeat the boy ant joke.

The U96 patrols only lasted 3 months. It was about 221 feet long, but the internal space was a lot shorter
48 men in a corridor about 150 feet long and 9 feet wide and filled with stuff for 3 months. Occasional roof balcony if the weather isn't too bad, but only for 6 people at a time max. With an almost constant smell of diesel. You'd certainly know people quite well after a couple of trips.
There's a scene where they are entertained on a German ship and the ship captain is complaining about the confinement, while much of the sub crew seem to be struggling to cope with the sheer amount of space.
Modern subs are a bit roomier per person.

Phwoar! Lucky bastard. My next question will be: how? Followed by: why? I've been on HMS Alliance (Gosport) and HMS Ocelot (Chatham). Albeit they're museum boats.

I’m sure I’ve said this before. I’m now an estimator for Babcock, working on the DMP(R) for Victorious.

Doom, Wolfenstein (New Order) and Battlefield 1 acquired for £12.50.
What this? Doom requires a 60.9 GB thing to install. Should be there in 5 hours or so.
Harumph.

Afternoon all.
Gamesblog: Skyrim! A good hour and a half of it, so plenty achieved. In the game, I mean, not in real life.
TVblog: TNG. A Fistful of Datas. An "okay" episode.

I can't decide which of Faceless's duplicate post to like, either way I would be agreeing with Tuffers, eh, there are worse people to agree with.
