I've just had an email from the Co-operative Bank with a boast about how they're putting 'ethics into action'.
I'd like to tell them about another group who put ethics into action. They were called Nazis, and they were responsible for the deaths of millions of people.

Or part of them ... 'Is it right to pursue eugenics?' 'Yes absolutely.' That's what a Nazi would say. I just really dislike the misuse of the word 'ethics'. It really grinds my gears.

I mean 'ethics' could encompass all sorts of belief that many people hold as nefarious. I mean ... I'm sure the Co-operative Bank aren't enacting the tenets of the Third Reich but ....
I'm not saying they're Nazis. I'm just saying that the phrase is so vague that it could be used by Nazis.

Sharia mortgages have 0%, but there is an agreed rental payment which decreases across the life of the mortgage as the capital amount is repaid. From some angles, this looks like a linguistic nicety to circumvent an ethical position. |

My work got involved before lockdown in a Film Studies in Libraries thing. We got money for a projector, amp rack, blu ray, speakers etc.
They arrived today and i've been making sure it all works as they've been sitting about for 6 months. BladeRunner 2049 looked marvellous.

Chumbles - that's an old GPU and CPU, a lot of those pre-built computers use old parts to remove old stock, it's certainly not worth £3k if you were serious about the price.
If you are gaming at 1080p at 60 Hz you should be able to comfortably put something together and build it for half that price, which even a moron like me pull off.
