Just had a young IT technician I've never met come over and get a hard drive from me with some install files on it. It's encrypted and was showing him how to get in to it. He was making unnecessary small talk and asked me what I was doing tonight. This was I believe so he could tell me what he was doing. I told him, nothing special - it's bin night & I need to do the Asda order. At this point I of course asked him. "Boxing tonight. Going to be working on my.." At this point I zoned out. I wish I knew that was going to be his reply as I would have told him it was my turn for hosting the Knitting Bee. See also the boring "Rugger" guys in the office or that marathon running twat who runs every weekend and needs to tell everyone, emails around for sponsorship, give updates on his latest minor injury etc ... |

I wish internet browsers had a filter you could select which would essentially remove a particular subject from view from all sites. I'm sick of seeing idiots arguing on X, Reddit, gaming forums etc ..over the riots.

From what I can see Crank a lot of Pro Independence people are planning on showing in Glasgow for the protests too. I can see it all ending in fights, burned out police cars etc...My advice is to stay well clear.

1 in 15 Americans are a millionaire now. This is 1 in 18 in the UK. It seems staggeringly obvious that governments in both countries could solve a lot of problems by taxing wealth. But instead we get reduced winter fuel payments and frozen tax bands. Probably another wave of cuts to welfare too. Is that including the value of your house? If so, presumably anyone who owns a one bed flat in London is a millionnaire. I believe so. But that's a good reason to tax wealth, it would ultimately reduce the value of those vastly overpriced properties, equalise the cost South Vs North, make it easier for young people to buy houses etc .. |
