The rotisserie add on is arriving today. I'm super excited. Basically everything before now will be classed in my mind as "Before Rotisserie".

Also, what's the beef with Phil Collins? I like Phil Collins. Some good stuff there. I've been a big Genesis fan ever since the release of their 1980 album, Duke. Before that, I really didn't understand any of their work. Too artsy, too intellectual. It was on Duke where Phil Collins' presence became more apparent. I think Invisible Touch was the group's undisputed masterpiece. It's an epic meditation on intangibility. At the same time, it deepens and enriches the meaning of the preceding three albums. Listen to the brilliant ensemble playing of Banks, Collins and Rutherford. You can practically hear every nuance of every instrument.

Good on them, I don't think I would ever be brave enough though. Obviously they are not accruing state pension, private pension, not saving money, developing careers etc ...

I typed a post yesterday about living in Southport but I deleted it. I was just about to post something else but I’ve pre-emptively deleted it. Nothing I start to type about Southport seems to sit right. I went on Reddit yesterday to find out what was happening. Most of the people on there were saying the stabbing was definitely done by an illegal immigrant, with a few saying it was probably someone from Liverpool. I have seen a name on X and some background for that individual, but it could all be total lies.

I used to live in Southport. A bit odd seeing it on the news like that. Was it last in the news when Steven Gerrard punched a DJ for not playing Phil Collins? Normally a DJ would get punched for playing Phil Collins.

Hot out. Mrs Fark is galavanting around Berlin with a friend, leaving me with a full time job and two young children to entertain which I am achieving through grandparents and a local art club where children can be deposited.

I am considering purchasing a rotisserie spinner add on for the barbeque. What about one of the pizza ovens that go on top of barbecues? Not a huge pizza fan, but I checked a couple out. Maybe one for the future.

You should introduce yourself, it's what most normal people do. Don’t you live in ‘The North’ though? I think the social norms differ between the North and London. It's perhaps a London Vs Rest of the country thing. I would definitely just say hello though, otherwise it will be real awkward every time you bump into them.

What are your relations with your neighbours like? Your immediate neighbours. If some new neighbours moved in next door would you go round and introduce yourself / selves? We have had some new neighbours move in next door. We have not introduced ourselves. I am aware that we have a tree overhanging their garden. I opened one of the windows before while one of the neighbours was hanging out washing. I noticed her turning away, having looked to see what the noise was. I thought … perhaps … there was something of antipathy - in the movement. I’m wondering if we maybe should have introduced ourselves at some point. I don’t know. You should introduce yourself, it's what most normal people do.

I am currently languishing in bed. I’ve got money woes. I’ve been spending on holidays which I don’t have quite enough to cover. Well I do … I have my savings, but I was hoping to put those towards buying a boat in Amsterdam. I’ve also just put a review for the hotel I was on on Booking.com. But I pressed the wrong button and it uploaded before I was happy with it. It has typing mistakes and a needlessly downbeat tone. I wish I was able to go back in and edit it. … Less holidays, more investment bros stuff.

This horse whipping scandal has made me question the ethics of training chimps to ride skateboards. I bet the chimps were whipped. Plus at first they would have repeatedly fallen off too.

It was too hot here last night and from around midnight the extraction fan in the bathroom leaked and there is now a large puddle.
I am not well rested.

Of course all those Irish are staying in the same hotel and having very loud phone conversations in the corridor. Awesome.

I'm in Gerrards Cross, it's actually OK here, good amenities and the hotel is OK. I had a meal at a Chinese restaurant on my own, first time I have ever done that. A very large Irish family came in immediately afterwards which somewhat affected the ambience.
