Gnocchi chat from yesterday. Yeah they only take a couple of minutes.
Nicest way is boil for a couple of minutes. Take out with a slotted spoon and put on greaseproof paper to dry out. Leave a wee while and when not damp fry them in butter and oil so they're crispy on outside and soft in middle. Add black pepper and parmesan. It's the healthy option.
Morning! I'm up too late again. Eejit.

Morning wigglers.
Montecrypto eh? That's a rum do. I get the feeling I should be able to *do* things in this game that I can't. I can pick things up, but have not found an inventory, the map is not as useful as it should be, and the bleedin Gremlins!

Morning all,
Games Freed the Forsworn King in Makarth, unsure if it was a good or bad thing to do. Bad I guess.

Morning all, Games Freed the Forsworn King in Makarth, unsure if it was a good or bad thing to do. Bad I guess. These things usually result in more bloodshed. Morning all!! Watched the first episode of Travellers last night. Intriguing.

Is crypto mining still a thing with falling prices? Do you think it would be a good time to look into a good PC when cheap cards come on the market?

It was minutes after freeing the King and watching his lot immediately start scrapping that I had buyer's remorse. No bounty added to me though so I think I got away with it.

The Rapture has definitely not happened. I was in Brentford last night, and there was no sign of the end times, however welcome they'd be.
Re Unabomber manifesto, didn't Socky post a link to that a couple of months ago? It's a bit shite, and not as interesting or as clever as it thinks it is, and stylistically poor.

Not only are gnocchi delicious, they're great to replace pasta if you can't wait 9 minutes for the pasta to cook. Good with pesto, if you like that sort of thing.

Is crypto mining still a thing with falling prices? Do you think it would be a good time to look into a good PC when cheap cards come on the market? Card prices are still stupidly high. I've been checking daily, due to my pending upgrade, but the outlook isn't good. Nvidia are rumoured to be producing mining focused cards to cater to the cryptocunts but whether this would help anyway is debatable. My advice, if you can wait a few months then do it. Edit: Just to note, do not buy 'pre-owned'. Now prices have dropped, a lot of miners are selling off their cards saying 'used for light gaming'. I wouldn't like to risk >£600 on getting a card that's been running flat out for 6 months. It likely wouldn't last long. Morning all! Games! WoW! I won't bore you with the details, it's still too early in the week. Movies! Saw Black Panther. It was good. Solid 4 star effort.

It is a little concerning that these cards can't take being run constantly for several months. If your PC processor exploded if you left your PC running for too long I think people would be pretty annoyed. Graphics cards breaking seems to be par for the coarse though. If NVIDIA make dedicated cards they probably won't be able to resist charging through the roof for them even if they are basically identical to the gaming ones, and people will immediately realise and just continue to buy the gaming ones... Games - Night before last I hunted a Legiana and got a plate, but not the frost sac I actually needed. The desire sensor is real. Went to bed at about 9pm last night. Off work for the rest of the week from tomorrow though - Monsters will be hunt. Hunters - Gaijin Hunter on youtube has some really rich MH chat Didn't read the article but these in the picture are tremendous www.theguardian.com/artanddesign/2018/feb/21/liartown-usa-tumblr-blog-sean-tejaratchi-interview-smiths-lovely-gary-chickpeas-orgasmPunishment gifts, Business dolls, lovely stuff Its wiggler Wednesday!

About 10 years ago in Duddeston I saw a white guy and a young black man get into a discussion about the correct interpretation of the Highway Code. When the white guy made passing reference to the black guy's race using a regrettably outdated epithet, the black guy became more upset and animated than any white middle-class university professor ever has in the entire history of the universe.
I don't know what that proves, possibly that I shouldn't live in the wild and bomb universities.

It's the strain that mining puts on them. Even when heavy gaming your card is not running at 100%. They're designed to be used for gaming, meaning, roughly, 8 hours usage a day, 3-5 days a week. Under these circumstances they will last years with zero problems, as my current cards have. This is without taking into account possible overclocking being used. If you ran your washing machine on a full speed spin for 6 months straight, would you expect it to last as long as doing 3 loads a week on a normal setting? The parts can't take that much use without consequence. Edit: On reading it back 8 hours expected usage might be a bit high but I think the point still stands.

It is unfortunate that they were all white (did I really type that? Bit racist) and using that campaign umbrella. Looks weird and like they just appropriated the most fashionable protest movement's slogan to act under.
Fundamentally though, their point is valid. I'm sort of ok with their methods as well, though I can see they're controversial.
Edit: half of them were probably Met officers anyway.

But if I want to use it to run displaying a benchmark nonstop for a year without it breaking I should be able to, otherwise it isn’t fit for purpose. The fact that they will replace it under warranty is testiment to that. The cards they sell as ‘data center’ cards aren’t significantly different - it’s all the same chips and those are supposed to run at 100% all the time. It’s also not like a washing machine because there are no moving parts. It doesn’t make sense for it to break because it was used too much. If it can they need to put stricter limits on the amount of processing power it can use.
