My memory of the Two Towers is that most of the film is spent talking up what a big fight Helm's Deep is going to be, and what a bad idea it is to go there. Then they have the fight. It is a big fight, but it's ok!
A good film.

I then watched the first hour of Cape Fear (1991). A absolute classic. 4* I watched Ghostbusters again over the weekend. Superb.

I haven't seen Nightcrawler. I just think of Nightcrawlers - the mid 1990s dance music act. I thought there was an Iggy Pop song called Nightcrawling too, but apparently it's called Nightclubbing.
Nightcrawler ... Worth a view?

What is this? Fucking Film Club? Losers.
Spent about 5 hours yesterday trying to fix a child's computer. Eventually I had to reinstall Windows. The child is insufficiently security conscious; I don't think the malware was actually causing the major issues, but I think cheap shit programmes and drivers were probably causing conflicts. I used Windows Powershell as an Admin user, because I'm a pretty advanced power-user.
In other news, AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRGghhhhhhhwhimper.

I started watching Nightcrawler and stopped because it seemed a bit dull.

The LOTR and Hobbit films show Peter Jackson's progressive descent into hubris.
FOTR pretty good TTT pretty good, but doesn't make sense as a standalone film ROTK Too long especially the ending. THAUJ ok, apart from Sylvester McCoy. Far too long though THDOS Shite and too long. The size of the hoard is particularly silly. THBOFA Unmitigated shite. The script was written during filming and it shows. Plus it is far too long

Probably easier to let the child near the PS4?
As compensation buy yourself a PS5

It's not impossible to install bad software on a PS4, but it require active naughtiness that is probably too tough for Shenguin to achieve.

OTTM
I finished my book about Trappist beer. I listened to Gregorian chant and drank Tynt Meadow while reading it. The worst thing about it is I no longer have a book on Trappist beer to enjoy reading.
I have added quantities of reasonably priced La Trappe and Chimay to my basket. I now have to convince myself not to press buy.

I was sure the Iggy Pop song was called Nightcrawling.
Has the Large Hadron Collider secretly changed reality?

So Shenguin’s been watching porn on the child’s (that isn’t his) computer and then blaming them when it gets viruses?
A real power move, there.

Get your laughing gear around a Rochefort 10. Boodiful.
It is difficult to drink without falling asleep and forgetting the details leading up to you falling asleep.

A few months ago I filmed something flying over west London. I was not able to identify this flying object. I suppose it could have been a drone or a helium balloon, which is what I thought at the time. I was wondering if I could monetise it though, what with the increased interest in 'Unidentified Flying Phenomena'. It's a bit late now I suppose. Technically it's 'Olds' rather than 'News' ...

Rochefort is not reasonably priced by Jeff. I think that will have to wait until I am able to visit Europe properly.
Now I know about Westvleteren properly I will have to go there. It is only 45 minutes from Calais. They don't sell beer in shops so I have never tried it. It has a pleasingly complex method of buying it. Phone calls, secret numbers, dead letter drops. A nod and a wink to the monk.

Remember enjoying The Lord of the Rings animation film in 1978. It was only part of the story, still waiting for the second half. Never seems to be shown on TV anymore.
