I found out today that if you have a meeting with Amazon - like a work meeting - they make you use their own proprietry meeting platform, and they send login details to your personal customer account.
Amazon could go into a meeting / negotiation with you knowing all your purchase and browsing history. It’s food for thought.

I usually buy books via the other 'Sellers' you get on the Amazon app, though I know Amazon still take a cut. But books are cheaper on Amazon than in bookshops, and Amazon have been pretty much the only place to get books over the pandemic. There's Bookshop.org and Waterstones (and I'm sure others) but Amazon are cheaper, and seem to have have more range.
I think some / most / all publishers have become so reliant on Amazon that Amazon can now really put the squeeze on, if they want to.
This is my understanding ...

I went to Lidl as per Scubar's advice and they had some 6 packs of Belgian ale at very very reasonable prices. It was there until it was gone. It is now gone.
I like Piraat and Gulden Draak. Not sure about the other one. Less than £2 a bottle. That is half price compared to anywhere else.
