If you get given an isolation notification on the Covid track and trace app you don't have to follow it. You're just advised to (I think this might be different on the NHS app). To be honest ... I was given a self-isolation message last Sunday, and ... well because I'd been vaccinated twice I ... just stayed in a much as I could and took three tests over the week. But I did go out on the fifth day of the seven day isolation period (having had three negative tests). Wait there’s an NHS app and a Covid track and trace app? I think I have the nhs one but didn’t know there’s another one?

I think they've changed the isolation algorithms recently, based on the increased transmission rates of the Delta variant.

Ok.
I don't have the facts at my fingertips. I'm relaying what the PM told me (Preferred Mammal, not Prime Minister).
There's the Covid Track and Trace app, which is the main one you need to scan in to places (I think), and other 'NHS' app, which I think can be used for all sorts of ... NHS stuff? I don't know.
I've confused things. I'm sorry.

The test and trace app is different to the NHS app. The latter holds your medical records and immunization status and needs you to do a funny video to log in.

Ah, I need to look into this as I only have the NHS Scotland app, and next week I will be in England to celebrate football coming home with Sir Harold and the Queen. I am not sure if the apps are compatible.

Where you off to? UK bound? Aye, a little village near Pickering. The beach is not too far away and they have a farm on site for the kids. On previous family holidays I had brought my Xbox along, but failed to have any opportunities to play it, so I am not even bothering this time. I am taking two cheery books to read, The Road to Wigan Pier and Scanner Darkly. A Scanner Darkly is one of my favourite books. The film is also decent.

OK I see - I have the test and trace one so I can get alerts if I come into contact with a smelly virus person.

Tids Beanies Caramel Popcorn coffee review: Tastes like somebody dropped a load of Biscoff biscuits in it. Avoid.

Best to delete it and rub the back of your head if you go somewhere that asks you to check in. Rub the back of your head and look at the person you are with, as if waiting for them to check in on behalf of both of you. Don't make eye contact.

The test and trace app is different to the NHS app. The latter holds your medical records and immunization status and needs you to do a funny video to log in. It also lets you order repeat prescriptions as I did this morning, and lets you generate a QR code to use to prove your vaccination status.

amipal You need to learn to live with it. The health secretary said so... That's pish about your birthday. Thought you could do tests everyday instead? Or only if you're Michael Gove? Ottm. We HAD to take a certain % of our holidays by end of June and another % by end of August. Told to. My boss just emailed to say she's concerned I've only got one day left for rest of the year excluding Xmas. Piss right off.

OTTM2. Dropping porridge on your shorts makes a right shady stain at the crotch. Be changing before popping to the post office later.

What's everyone having for lunch?
I've developed a real weakness for Richmond 'meat-free' sausages. I see in my future ... I'm possibly going to be eating a sausage sandwich (if you can call them sausages). A protein cell sandwich.

Morning.
Used my first FF chip as needed to roll a lot of bones around the squad. Anxious now I may have frigged things but have been in 2nd too damn long.
Made a chicken and chickpea curry for tea, slow cooker on simmer. Not sure that marinading the chicken in tandoori paste was a good idea, as it looks pinker now than when it was raw. Hmmm.
Quick booze run, then it’s out with the strimmer to annoy the neighbours as they had a bbq yesterday and are hungover.
Choons? Dread Zeppelin.

Today is my Thursday. Unfortunately I have not done Mon-Wed's work. I am going roaming. Seeing a couple of friends to watch the game on Wed. Then going to see a dinosaur on Friday. It is ages since I have been to a museum and even longer since I have been to a dinosaur museum (2016?). I have big hopes. I would like a new dinosaur book.

To work out the overall winner we need to do a rolling average of who has been top for the most days. It is the only fair way.

What is the best dinosaur?
My favourite is the Ankylosaurus. The one that looks a bit like an armadillo, but with a spiky club at the end of its tail.

I have been able to put together a band of brothers and a couple of subs. My brave boys are ready to take on the world.
If Spain and Denmark win I am not going to do well.

Hi
Virus chat.
I think I'm in the minority, but, for once, I agree with the health secretary, we do now need to live with this like we do other viruses, like flu for example.
Everyone who needs one, if they chose to take up the offer, has had a vaccine.
Saying that, we are pretty much back to normal anyway, apart from a few things that make no sense to me anymore if the vaccine does as claimed (which statistics would strongly appear to support) in terms of vastly reducing (almost to nil) serious symptoms/complications.
Although I do think a thorough well funded study/research into 'long covid' should happen (if it isn't already) with sufferers getting access to specialist doctors without delay.
Also an independent review of all contracts related to covid 19/ppe etc that have been awarded. But that will never happen.
No games.
Tldr: I'm missing the footy

I am a fan of Microraptor ever since I found out he was a flapper. I have a strong image of a (male) dinosaur in a green dress, with a bob cut and a hat reading F Scott Fitzgerald and listening to jazz, while smoking using a cigarette holder. Apart from that diplodocus , triceratops and T Rex are the big 3. I had a very nice triceratops I bought in the Natural History Museum when I was 8(ish).
